i cant believe i havent clicked in this forum before
i just love art and i am so glad to see that there are alot of other asian who appreciate art aswell because so far that i have met aren’t usually interested in it
to start with with i just wanted to share my art work that i done for my art project at college

:mash: u are gifted..i have come across very few ppl who have this talent to balance everything out.

amazing work i must say.

ps. seems like most of it is chalk pastels work…whereas some piece look like water color to me and in fact one looks paint on the fabric.

so tell me whare really are these…(but what ever they are…they are pretty intriguing :jano:)

HHL- I cant really sell them because its all my As work at the college, so it has to be examined first

*Zobia *- its a mixture of everything mainly watercolours, oil pastels, pencil crayon, modrock and arcylics . there's no chalkpastels and the one ur thinking of fabric thats batik on paper.

First thing First, ALWAYS explain your work when you put itt on the display. Why? there must be people around who might have weird imaginations and some who might not even have a single clue as in what you have posted. Yes, it all look nice and interesting full of color but some might not understand the concept and inspiration behind the posted work.

This one seemed to me as I am looking at bone marrow in color and some chondrocytes and osteoclast stuff. I have no clue what it is and would love to know how you came about this painting/work of art and what would you call it?

This one to me seemed like darkened version of Ribosomes. If you look from a particular angle. I would love to know as in what really it is??

ummm cabbage kinda thing? some plant?

again, seems to me like a cytoplasm with some version of mitochondria inside and TCA cycle is taking place =p nice to look @ but I would love to know what it is.

Awesome work Kaanch! I like it more also because i simply adore bold, abstract work. And i do agree with Lois Lane that you must explain your work too.

This, if i am not wrong, is batik? it luks lovely. How did you do this?. I mean you have managed to have pretty much accuracy in your design which is hard in batik.

I did a batik pannel which looked quite nice and well designed but a part of it got little more dye so that kinda ruined it for me. INfact i remember i was so embarassed when i had to show it to my head of dept but she loved it and even complimented that she would love to make a shirt out of it for herself. I think batik is a tiring process but it can give lovely results :biggthumb.

as most of u told me to explain my work

so here goes

  1. is a enlarged chalk pastel section of a observational drawing that i did of seed pods

  2. its 3D piece based on seedpods, made out of Modrock

  3. its a study of a contemporary artist Andy goldsworthy who makes art out of natural objects, also made out of modrock

4,5,6,11 are the studies of the artist Georgia okeeffe, who does flowers, its done using watercolours,oil pastels and pencil crayons

  1. is the study of cells in plant, done using batik

8 and 10 are the studies of artist Jean baptiste, who does silk painting.

  1. is the study of photographer Nicholus clive, who takes close ups of flowers

Hope i explained enough to make the people understand who are not much familiar with art.
