My 20-20 experience

Good morning everyone.

The day was pretty gloomy and it was raining. We intially thought it would be called off but eventually it got underway.

No one knew Waqar Younis would be playing and it was good to see him come out to bowl with a grin on his face. We did the customary Yorker, Yorker, Yorker and he obliged by yorking Tendulkar but Tendulkar was playing good. He got to his 50 and the Indians were loving it. Dhoni played very good and all the Pakistani’s in the ground were just hoping Afridi would do his magic today.

Pak opened with Imran Farhat and Shoaib Malik. The guys couldnt even connect with the ball (it had got pretty dark by now). Farhat got out and Afridi walked in. The crowd just went Bezerk.

If you thought that was bad, you should have seen it when he hit the 1st ball he faced for 6 followed by 2 more sixes and a 4. An old guy was sitting not too far from me and he got up and started ding bhangra. The crowd just erupted, You could not hear a thing,

Anyway he played very good but towards the end everyone thought we were going to lose.

Everyone was nervous. There was only one man that was not even the slightest bit nervous and he was he did a good job of hiding it.

That man was Inzi. He is so calm its unbelievable. He just sort of knew he could do it and he finished it off in style.

The party spilled out of the ground. Thoroughly enjoyed it

The only bad note I have was to say some of our suppoprters were right idiots. Swearing loudly at the Indians, Making obscene gestures at the Indians and coming out of the ground to start swearing at other (white) people who were enjoying the match from their balcony’s

Our People are very backward and immature. That was a shame, but otherwise it was enjoyable.

Re: My 20-20 experience

Thanks for sharing rizwan sahab. We enjoyed the live audio but I can imagine how good it was for someone watching it live.

Re: My 20-20 experience

Rizwan Bhai, good set of live notes you have posted. Unfortunately, this behavior is quite common, especially in a community where one expects some form of backlash from different groups in the form of support for their (ancestor vs. modern) teams. In any case, glad to note that you thoroughly enjoyed yourself during the entire course of the match. Must have been a beautiful day with rain drizzling down in the initial stages. :)

Re: My 20-20 experience

Rizwan thanks for sharing, after going through the thread “Pak vs World XI” I enjoyed your post. Ofcourse because Pak won and th thing you said about Inzi :k:
