I heard Rana Sanaullah saying that "the case has been investigated twice. It was an attempted rape case and not a gang rape case as reported by the media." He also said that the "incident was a result of a family feud wherein the girl was used by his father." It instantly reminded me of Qaim Alishah saying "Tharparkar issue is not as big as it was being projected by the media."
Meanwhile, SC has taken a suo moto notice of the tragedy.

What a heartbreaking news, my sincere condolences to her family and those who loved her. Will the perpetrators face justice?
It really seems like Pakistanis are casually waiting for unbelievably horrific incident like Delhi gang rape to happen in order to start taking sexual violence seriously. Perhaps they really are waiting for global outrage and massive scale international media scrutiny to take action against rape and genuinely raise awareness against sexual violence?
Where are women like Asma Jahanghir and Maleeha Lodhi when you need them? Rape is utterly animalistic, unforgivably depraved, cowardly and disgusting crime against woman which needs some serious attention and opposition by women themselves. We have a pretty decent number of female MPs in the parliament and what on earth have they done to bring women’s issue in mainstream political debates? What legislative framework have they proposed to grant women security, protection and justice? These elected women are not leading any debates or policies on housing, health, education, infrastructure, economy, foreign policy then what are they doing? Why are they even in the parliament in the first place?
When women with power and influence prefer to remain tight lipped on such barbaric crime against their kind, then do not be surprised to see apathetic, loathsome buffoons like Rana Sanaullah making such callous remarks. The women must not just sit back and expect these male politicians to fight battles on their behalf and put everything in perfect order. I want to see wealthy shielded women from middle class and elite to come off their high horses, stop living in bubbles and for once acknowledge the pain and suffering of their working class counterparts and do something about it. They must realise that when it comes to sexual violence in a deeply misogynist patriarchal society, they are just as vulnerable as any other young female child to young girl to a grown woman. It might help if they just stop pretending that somehow wearing jeans, sleeveless kameez and speaking broken English with forced British and American accent makes you appear like a ‘modern’ and ‘advanced’ woman. An advance and modern women is defined by her ideas, her activism, her struggles and success.
The poor and powerless always have little ability to change a society short of bloody revolution. The rich and entitled have no incentive to do so. Only the aspiring middle-class has the incentive and ability to change the society from within. It is my sincere wish to see middle class women coming together to demand justice and fight for women’s rights and demand justice.
I’m actually not remotely surprised or even angry at Sanaullah’s remarks, I’m just sad and irritated about the fact that no female MP in the parliament will stand up and take him to the cleaners, there won’t be a feminist outrage or women’s groups coming forward to force an apology out of him.

Many years ago, same kind of horrible incident occurred in Nawabpur, in the times of spiritual father of Tattoo, the nihari and paya eater, now again happened in Tattoo's present time.

Very sad incident and this is true that Any Jageerdaar or his Kuttay Pillay (Either they have elected independently or with support of any political party) do these type of things especially in these areas as no one is there to stop them. guess what...we have already conducted gang rapes like delhi many times....in villages, cities everywhere....not so long ago few guys raped a massom 6 year old angel in lahore....and we could not even find the culprit...did we?
where delhi/indian citizens stood up vigorously, we Pakistanis accept rape as a common practice in a male dominated society...and why not? our mullahs now want young girls even 7/8 years old to be allowed to marry......if allowed, wouldn't that be equivalent to a societal rape?
but when someone or the international media points out these issues or other issues plaguing our society, some people on this forum, YES SOME PEOPLE, will be the first one to start yelling STOP INSULTING PAKISTAN..."you only look at the dark side"... "jealous international media" blah blah..
so please make up your mind.....because frankly speaking getting tired of long lectures!
