PTV Global was showing her B&W Kiran Khani recently and then the idiots stopped that slot of classic comedy shows with some cheap new comedies and soaps all in the name of ‘brand new sehmaahi’ to start the year off with a bang. :smack:

However, last week she was in a 1.5 hour episode of Gharonday.

Not sure if I mentioned this before that spotted Roohi in Liberty market Lahore few years back. It was very heart breaking she was dressed in dirty white coat (like a doctor ) with paint spots all over it and talking to herself . she seemed totally lost. Dr Haroon Rasheed used to look after her she was getting treatment at his hospital The Fountain House. I happen to know DR Haroon he was a very fine and God fearing man. But after his death, she's all alone again.

So sad.

I wish we could take care of and honour our artists who need help.

Okay so it must have been a LP. It has been a few years.

Episode vaalay LP ?
I just noticed that PTV showed two unrelated episodes of the Gharonday series by Bano Qudsia
I don't know of any other LP series.

Again, PTV Global showed half hour plays of all four provincial languages for a few months last year.
They seemed quite interesting.

television par intelligent aur original comedy likhney wale writers khatam ho chuka hain. ab sirf copy cats hain jo idhar udhar say nakal maar ke behooda skits likh dete hain. that includes dr younis but also.

They were showing Drama 86 in early morning hours on Sunday and then repeat on early Sunday evening.
But it seems like they are showing Gharonday series in that slot now.
I wonder if they have a decent web-site with updated show schedules.

The episode I was talking about had a different title. I can't remember. She seemed to be a governess of a child. I didn't see the whole thing.

Hum tv tried to cash on her fame. very low of them. Neither do these people have any worthy scripts nor any visionary directors. Roohi bano is a patient of depression and schizophrenia. It’s criminal to bring her on tv screens and make a mockery of a legend.

Ajj di kahani was such a fixture on TV growing up and quite interesting and popular.

As much as we like to boast about media revolution and progress in recent times , the reality is total opposite. Media is on downward spiral, churning out garbage. Creativity is dying (almost finished), nobody is experimenting and content is regressive and highly stereotyped.
