its quick, and for basic editing, resizing and all, it has no competition…
and i have yet to see any software which gives options like its BATCH operations…

^^ I second. IrfanView is without any overheads. Its the fastest image manuplation software I have used to date (and i have used quite a few).
Especially I love its simple, easy to use batch processing functionality

Pro_E Wildfire(version 8) must be installed on ur pc...
Thts really a fit design software.and u can draw/sketch anything in 3d there

I’ve been using the old version of ACDSee forever, which give me mostly the same functionality. I do install IrfanView on most PC’s on the network, just not on mine.
PS: I did forget a few apps including Winrar, Cain, VLC, UltraEdit and VIM. Plus there are few others that I am not going to put on here.

ACDSee does whatever i tell it to do.. i haven't found it lacking.. yet.. but I wouldn't edit in it.. I work on 16bit TIFF files and use LAB a lot.. so it's Photoshop all the way for me.

Photoshop can do a lot .. but the learning curve is a bit steep..
