I was reading Sahih Bukhari, Holding Fast to Quran and Sunnah.
Well this is the Hadith,
Volumn 009, Book 092, Hadith Number 448.
Narated By Abu Said Al-Khudri : Allah’s Apostle said, “Noah will be brought (before Allah) on the Day of Resurrection, and will be asked, 'Did you convey the message of Allah?” He will reply, ‘Yes, O Lord.’ And then Noah’s nation will be asked, ‘Did he (Noah) convey Allah’s message to you?’ They will reply, ‘No warner came to us.’ Then Noah will be asked, ‘Who are your witnesses?’ He will reply. ‘(My witnesses are) Muhammad and his followers.’ Thereupon you (Muslims) will be brought and you will bear witness." Then the Prophet recited: ‘And thus We have made of you (Muslims) a just and the best nation, that you might be witness over the nations, and the Apostle a witness over you.’ (2.143)
Well as soon as I read the Hadith, this Ayah flashed into my Mind
Bismillaah 003.110 ***Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. ***
Jazak Allah khair for sahring brother, i’ve heard of this hadith before though. Allahhu Akbar, Subhaan Allah. We, ummah, of last Prophet :saw: are the best people ever as described in that aya’h
Inshallaah we will be, I pray to Allaah that we take the responsibitlity of Preaching Islam and yes thats Followign the good and forbidding the evil

I admit I am amongst the people y'all consider to be not the best and to be a majority of peverts. Can you admit that this claim is intolerant and insulting?

I think It’s NOT about what they consider you. They are informed by the judge: verdict is, most of them are perverted transgressors. You admitted that you are amongst the people (transgressors). So basically it’s between you and the judge.
So *any *non-Musilm society is full of mostly perveted transgressors?
Perhaps this verse refers to the mostly uncultured primitive society that existed in Arabia before Islam was observed with no morality standards.
But trust me, as smug and confident as you are in your day before the judge, so am I. I'm just not going to damn others to hell like is so common amongst the* best of peoples*.
i am sure every one will have a chance to present their case, may be you are the one **among them are some who have faith' *and in heaven before any one here amongst the *best of the people. and I (smug and confident as you put it) end up in hell for being worst.
