Re: Muslims skeptical over Newsweek apology
The Bible is holy to me but I certainly don't expect it to have the same meaning to anyone else if they aren't Christian. It may upset me that it would be held in contempt by others, but when all is said and done, it is a book. If someone does something like that, it doesn't change the meaning of the book to me or other Christians. It just shows that person's lack of character.
What blows my mind is the credibility given to people like this. They hear a report of someone in another country flushing a book down a toilet, so they kill other people as long as they are the same religion or just American. That is like me being angry at Thandy and killing Muslim_Queen and expecting everyone to sympathize with me. After all they are both Muslim and one of them doesn't like America. There you go.
I think this report is a load of crap. They probably heard a rumor and reported it because it is sensational and didn't realize the nutcases would run with it and use it as an excuse to kill people. Newsweek has become nothing but a tabloid the past couple of years. I used to subscribe but I let it lapse about six months ago for reasons such as this.
