I am convinced that movies such as " innocence of Muslims" and cartoons on the holy prophet are made, not to ridiculate Islam, but in reality to show to the world how intolerant the Muslims are!!
“They” are probably jumping in glee, every time the American flag is burned, or bombs thrown, or people killed. See this is what Islam is, they would say!!
millions would also see these cartons & this movie due to this fuss. I too searched in the Internet and saw this movie-it was rubbish, meaningless and not worth another minute of my time. BUT it achieved it’s purpose.

Well this is a different perspective on things. It is high time that Muslims understand the gameplan of these idiots and act accordingly. It is sad to see people biting the bait so quickly.

Its not just about bait biting though is it. The film was merely a trigger to a larger sense of anger amongst muslims over western (esp US) anti-muslim policy; weather it was invasions, indiscriminate murder, drone murder, Guantanamo, secret renditions and torture, quran burning, desecrating the dead,, supporting thier dictators and stealing thier wealth, supporting israel occupation and its heinous crimes etc, the list is ongoing and endless.
A majority of the above crimes was committed in reaction to 9/11 spanning more than a decade.
Compared to those crimes not only does 9/11 seem so insignificant, but burning embassies and flags suddenly seem quite minor in comparisons.

I 100%. These champions of human rights tend to forget that 1.5B Muslims are also humans and love a person more than anything else in this world. Insulting Prophets is their tradition and now they are testing it on Muslims, violating basic principals of humanity.

I kind of agree. However, I think the protests are more power politics by mullahs than any perceived insult to the Holy Prophet (saw). At an individual level, the more people a mullah can take out on the street, the more brownie points he gets and over time becomes a famous mullah. At the collective level, mullahs get a measure of their strenght if they use religion to mobilize masses. Additionally, it gives them some semblance of credibility to froce governments to tow their line.

Except the movie has widely been panned as "anti-Islam" in the media. Insults against all groups listed above are allowed as they are all expressions of freedom of speech. When a group with any clout chooses to exercise these insults to one of these groups above they are often met with boycotts, non violet protests, and general outcry. What they aren't met with are calls to strip their freedom of expression away and they aren't met with violent protests.
Those that made the anti-Islam film have no clout, they are nobodies but they have played the Muslim world and those fundamentalists within the Muslim world who thrive on unrest fed it to the masses and played it up. The internet is full of nobodies who insult blacks, Jews, women, and homosexuals, but no one gives them the attention they strive for. They mean nothing and have no power, so why would you let these people control your emotions?
