Re: Muslims No Longer Allowed to Buy/Rent Property in Indian City

Jinnah vindicated once more. His foresight continues to astound me... thank God that He let Jinnah realise what the future would be like for Muslims in a Hindu dominated nation and made him take over the Muslim League and lead it to realising Pakistan.

I am sure if Jinnah was alive today, he would have been completely pissed off with what Pakistan has become now.!!

Well, you should thank Nehru (for his ambition and not allowing Jinnah to become the prime minster of free & united India) and Gandhi, for the creation of Pakistan as well.

go and read the history non indian...
it was not because nehru didnt let him become PM but because they underestimated him and misunderstood him...

if Jinnah wasnt ill and due to that not in haste india you see now would have been smaller...

when gandhi offered him to be PM it was shrewdness of him he (gandhi) knew he wont be able to run the country as initially it would be a mess and after few years it would beback to congress but it was even more shrewed of Jinnah to have asked him (it is still not fact as are different accounts) to talk to nehru he (jinnah) knew nehru wont accept because that was what he was in reality.

Jinnah was not power hungry based on my knowledge also from records later on after creation of pakistan, also three people at that time (before partition) knew he is going to die soon he, his sister, and his hindu family doctor...

Unfortunately i am from those who till my early 20s used to curse him for that fortunately for me i got to understand the facts later and my salutes for to him for creating pakistan envisioning a state although it was created for muslims but his vision was, supremacy of Law, religion has nothing to do with affairs of the land, a democracy and a welfare state...

we had deviated from his vision but it doesnt mean his vision was not novel.

i wish youve been to pakistan...

^ Thats your version of history and is very different from mine. But thats to be expected. History is always twisted to suit the needs, and we will never know what actually transpired :)

Honestly, I would love to visit Pakistan since my ancestors used to live in Lahore. Just dont know what to expect...:(

Jinnah's foresight was alright. But he also did not imagine India/Pakistan relations like this. It was more a sort of USA/Canada relations he imagined. Remember, he did not sell his house in Mumbai when Pakistan was created. It continued to be furnished and well kept. He desired to visit Mumbai often.

The aftermath of partition (killion of hundreds of thousands of people etc) is what created the tensions between the two neighbours and it continues till date. It was rather the malice of the British that divided India in a crazy way.

although havent been to lahore recently but been told it has been transformed in last few years...
you should visit there and should expect to be at home as in india.
even introduce yourself as indian and i can assure you , would get a friendly treatment.
