Re: Muslims must feel British - Straw

she probably can but covering the face is not a part of Islam but its a tribal tradtition of arabs and persians that got incorporated into Islam
key words; incorporated into islam. hence theres nowt wrong with it. the choice is left up to the individual and not some tartan taliban who tries to impose his version of islam on them.
actually its a valid point. how can u interact with someone when their face is covered?
well its not rocket scientist. it only requires a movement of your tongue with slight support of your vocal chords. that should do it.
contrary to ignorant opinion, a piece of cloth doesnt make you deaf or dumb.
of course why would they?
they are not interacting with anyone with their face covered?
imagine if everyone worked wearing veils, how will u identify one person from the rest....
Again these vieils are not a part of Islam but a Persian concept in which women of higher nobility covered their faces
1)again your imposing your version of islam on others, not your right mr taliban.
2) everyone does not wear the veil in the west, a tiny minority does. and those that do, tend to choose professions where they can take it off during work. rarely do they keep it on throughout. Hence identifying is not really a problem.
infact see them enough times and you can easily recognise the person behind the niqab from the way they walk and talk. again this is ignorance and assumptions on your behalf that is causing them problems.
3) interacting does not require much more than the eyes and tongue. ive dealt with and seen enough veiled women to know its a non issue that is conjured up in the mind of an ignorant. interacting is not a problem.
so is beleiving that veils are hijab are a part of islam. they are not
its a choice for most, but for some it is a must. hence its not for you to decide.
some muslims want to integrate by turning England into saudi arabia.
sorry thats not gonna happen
really? how ignorant can you get.
and the divide continues
sure. noone wants to be associated with mindless intolerant bigots. :-) that divide will always remain.
