Muslims mourn loved ones online

Really Interesting!

“It sprawls an area of 12 acres, and we have capacity for 57,000 graves which is enough for the next 100 years.”
But this final resting place has more than just beautiful facilities and lots of space to offer. It also provides an interactive website - the first in Pakistan - enabling a mourner to attend the funeral of a loved one virtually. Live or recorded video streaming can be accessed using an internet terminal anywhere in the world.

what u think?

Re: Muslims mourn loved ones online

It's like making fun of a funeral.. pathetic.

Re: Muslims mourn loved ones online

Islam doesn't say if you can't be at a funeral you have to watch it somehow or if it's something worth watching...

Islma has the simplest burial rites...Wrap in two pieces of cloth and entrust the body to the earth...That's that...

All this high tech gizmo and stuff...

Re: Muslims mourn loved ones online

Yeah thats why I visit Pakistan every 3rd month.

PS: its very typical of us to just jump to a conclusion and start buidling a story around it! You should OPEN ur mind and think out of the box.

Re: Muslims mourn loved ones online

Only those who can't be there when a loved one dies can feel the pain of distances. There is no closure. And hearing/seeing the funeral may not be the final answer either, but anything that helps in the healing process...

Re: Muslims mourn loved ones online

why mourn for someone who is dead. Leave him/her to Allah - and worry for yourself.
