Muslims are speaking out against the attacks.

Just found this news bit on bbc web-site. Hopefully more leaders will come out and condemn these attacks (if proven to be from al-qaeda).

Re: Muslims are speaking out against the attacks.

Madrid happened...Spanish troops came back....would the same happen to the British troops???

Re: Muslims are speaking out against the attacks.

^ nope, infact more will go prolly. I expect UK to be fully on the war wagon.

Re: Muslims are speaking out against the attacks.

it backfired in Spain.. it may not in the UK. Tony's now got something to grab on to when he requests for more troops to be sent rather than a withdrawl or reduction as the Army was planning..

Re: Muslims are speaking out against the attacks.

Spain withdrew its troops because there was an election held within a week of the bombing.

There are no imminent elections in Britain, and even if there were, the only political party big enough to challenge Blair is much more pro-war than Blair is.

Britain will probably delay any withdrawal from Iraq, or will in fact probably send more troops.

It would be bad form to withdraw any troops now, because it would give the idea that to make Britain do whatever you want, all you need to do is bomb some civilians.

Re: Muslims are speaking out against the attacks.

Actually, contrary to popular belief, I think US is considering withdrawing (save face) troops. The drain on the economy is too much. It cannot go on. There has to be end in sight.

^ where did u hear that Kaleem? I think Bush will ask Tony The Tattoo to help him in the hour need now.
