Most Muslims in & outside the US believe that Bush has not done enough for the Muslims of America or Muslims in general around the world. They consider him a puppet of the right winged hawks in his administration & blame him & his father alone for the war on Iraq.
What I want to know is what kind of efforts Muslims living in the United States as well as living abroad have done to lobby for their cause & concerns. How have the Muslim organizations like ICNA, ISNA etc. put forward their case, make the administration aware of their understanding & stance on the various global as well as domestic issues involving Muslims and how have they tried to address the public in general who, in the opinion of most Muslims, are being misguided towards hatred of Islam & Muslims?
Any list of petitions/letters being presented to the President’s office, House, Senate or even the political parties? Have they tried to approach the committee of foreign affairs and what was their response to the concerns? List of pro-active presentations on a national level or the local chapters running awareness campaigns & how successful they were?
