Muslims and September 11th 2002

Asalaamu 'alykum wa rahmatullahee wa barakatahu,

Brothers and sisters just some advice and a reminder for the muslims living in United States, please i would appreciate it if we don’t debate on this topic, i’m posting this only for the brothers and sisters who are confused about what a muslim should do on September 11th.

So the "righteous path" is one of intolerance for jews and christians? Interesting perspective.

The name of that website should be the self-righteous path

Seminole, I disagree, it should be Pathological-liars.com

In any event, Muslims in the US should remember the Americans who gave with their lives. The firemen, the police, all gave some, some gave all.

Every house of worship should be open to all people. This would be the best showcase of inclusivity that makes America what it is.

The article is about eight pages long and I read half of it. Didn’t agree with the majority of the text, so didn’t read all the way through.

It says:

I strongly disagree! Just by saying that the believers are in brotherhood doesn’t mean that the others should not be included. Secondly, Sheikh sahib quoted in the article should also give some reasons as to why they believe that is the case?! Just being his opinion is not worth more than the few stated here.

Later on it says:

If someone reads surah Taubah from the beginning it will be all so clear that it is talking about the Meccans. Those who had persecuted the Muslims for years in the name of Islam. Not only the author of the article took it out of context but also added the good old “( parenthesis )” to make his own point!

According to the traditions AnHazoor (saw) used to let the Christians & all others belonging to many faiths coming to see him, pray in his mosque!

These kind of articles that represent a very close minded view of Islamic teachings are the ground on which others point fingers at Islam. And its sad that most people read it & not thing critically about 'em.

I reject the call in the link. It is offensive to say the least.

OldLahori, every sane Muslim rejects this type of hate mongering. A handful of Mullahs cannot be Thekeydars of Islam and tell 1.2 Billion people how to react. They will soon learn their lesson. This type of ignorant fundamentalism is being rejected by Muslims worldwide. Mullahs should start counting their days.

Oh my God. This is ridiculous. Someone needs to write this mullah a nice strongly worded letter of disapproval.

In case you're forgetting aap ki amanat, there were muslims that died in that building too.

Equally, the non-muslims in America should remember the muslims who gave with their lives on behalf of the US. The Northern Alliance fighters who went in on the ground where it hurts while the Yanks bombed safely from the sky. The Pakistani troops who died in a shootout in the NWFP while the Special Forces skulked in the shadows. Not to mention the various Warlords whose gangs were paid to do the dirty footsoldier work in Tora Borah, Kandahar etc. Hope they all get a mention when the Hollywood blockbuster movie of events gets made.

The Islamic world doesnt recognize its own heroes, so why do you expect the non-Muslim world to do so?

If you wish these people should be honored, why gripe? Organize a commemoration yourself!

I just did.

:k:

agreed

Absolutely!!

I am not surprised to read that from Shaik Uthaymeen and the Gang. These so called scholar breed intolerance and religious fanaticism.
