Goldman Sachs and Mckinsey have predicted the paradigm for the next 50 years of humanity as the three legged race in global economic dominance. They have suggested that US and the BRIC region (a term coined by the famous report by GS in 2001 and updated every year (for morons who don;t know what GS is go to www.gs.com ) ) will be the dominant powers in the coming decades.
In the advent of such a paradigm, where 80% of global assets will be managed/controlled by US, China and INdia (in that order) and sometimes competing situations that arise, i.e. US-CHina, China-India, China, India-Brazil, US…is there a role for the muslim world? Can the muslim world grab a piece of the pie along the way. Why isn’t there a sense of optimism about the future among the muslim people around the world, as we see in India and china, considering many countries are at par, if not better situated to amass wealth for its citizens.
Where did the muslim world go wrong? How is it preparing for the future? What are the prospects? lets discuss…
I would like to hear from the khilafaites, the 23 yr old stenos from the paki mission in the UN and any other luminaries that would like to partake. The answers are convoluted perhaps…especially in this topic as muslims cannot for the life of them extricate governance/social norms and economics nad finance from their religion. So everything is fair game…
Can you post a link to the report so i can see what they use as ground realities they use to make these predictions. I mean do they include increased NAMA, Trade flow shifts, FR and their increase, increased migration flows and geo-political instability?
PD we saw the "sense of optimism about the future " in guRhgaoN a few days ago. Quite optimistic I say :) .
As far as GS's prdictions are concerned I think the picture can change very quickly with political events and with the price of oil. If oil keeps climibing the way it has been and to levels that GS themselves predicted, economic growth will slow down and all this analysis will be out of the window.
PD, Heres is how Allah (swt) will beat all odds and make the Ummah the final victor.
when the oil prices will go up, ummah will present humanity with a wind powered flying carpet based on an idea stolen by Segway, the demand of flying carpets will be higher than the goats/sheep that they herd can reproduce. Which will cause the Ummah to jack the prices up a bit(thus making more money), obviously they will not be able to handle the finances so GS will be involved.
From a military perspective, PRT (palestinean rock thrower) brigade will train in catapulting rocks to the outer orbit where due to the gravitational pull the rocks will slingshot (like wiley coyote) and hit the enemy(white man) and kill them, to add to the brigade, Ummah will have nuclear tipped pigeons that will kill any moving thing by pooping glow in the dark poop.
That brings us to the society, overnight ppl in the west will exchange their clothes with hijabs and abayas, but only the ragheads will be allowed to wear the rag on their head.
PD,,, why dont we dicuss the Indian plan to out do the muslim world by taking on all the jobs westerners won't do
i.e. an Indian call center employee at Converys Banglore getting racially abused by some hick in Alabama because his mouse doesnt work
hahahahaha
Dont cry for the muslim world too much... The majority of the worlds energy reserves are still in our nations.
hahha! You mean Arrabob world! Noop there is no hope. The desert nomads will continue living on sand dunes during the day and chase she-camels during the night.
Comparing them with US, China, Japan, or EU is simply stupid. Funny though that you include Arrabob’s toilet cleaner Bharatis in the list with US.
Baba Bharati go clean up Bihar, UP, Bengal, Urissah, … (the list is long) from the leaches sucking precious little blood from the Banglore (or Hyderabadi) Munshis running call centers.
I don’t know what Khalifas you are looking for. We use the term of Khalifa Ji as respect for our hajjams, or Naa-ees (barbers). Kapeesh! O Baha-Rat-i!
GM is among several automakers — including Ford Motor Co., DaimlerChrysler AG, Volkswagen AG, Volvo AB and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. — that are sourcing auto parts from low-cost countries like India because of tough competition and rising costs of raw materials
How desperate they are, how desperate. It can be seen. It is so clear but they assume no one’s watching. Cleaning not only their toilets but licking their @sses also with their tongues. But that is what they have to do to reach where they dream to be. This is all they can do and they are doing it. How desperately they mention US-India, Either it is a joke or this guy’s soon to see a terrible fall of his nation.
If those arboobs read this post of his, they’re gonna deport all those toilet cleaners / @ss licking immigrants from their land back to his country to perform the same job there.
First thing out of this BRICs paper is that it does not list what factors it took into consideration to make these projections. I am guessing they are using ceteris paribus but that would be extremely retarded on their part. They are using a rather simplistic GDP model as they say so themselves, without taking into consideration any form of external shocks.
Another issue i had was that they discounted South Africa a great deal. Though they do allocate a page to South Africa, personally it is not enough compared to all the strides they are making in the international trade circles.
Its interesting they completely ignore trade liberalization and that these countries will benefit more with trade liberalization. They also ignore the new trends when it comes to innovative sources of finances and remittances. That of course is an assumption as they do not list the extrenal factors they are taking into consideration.
they refer to danda for how to make these projections and what factors should be considered. so danda knowing that he’d have to come back to gupshup and boast about the ficitious report, he gives them all the ideas on what to take into consideration. Hence, is also too excited to post here.
Let’s see what the future brings to those who’ve lost their sleeps over US-India US-India US-India dreeeeeeeams. LOL, reporting the dominant powers for the next 50 years.
The report doesn’t surprise me. The gross mismanagement of the Muslim world by its secular and religion-abusing dictators has turned its economy and its all-important middle class into a near basket case. Even if an Islamic state was established in a large Gulf oil country such as, say Saudi Arabia, 50 years would be insufficient to create an economic power.
It would take at least 1 generation of educational reform, say, 20 years, to create a large middle class educated in economic management.
Another 30 years for that middle class to gain experience through running national and regional businesses. Large-scale internationalisation of economic influence would follow around 60-70 years later.
The Muslim world has been pretty much, for the main part bar about 8 countries which are the exception, reduced to where India was in 1947. A lot of wealth, but distributed amongst a tiny part of the society, with the middle class of society not being in a position where they can capitalise on wealth when redistributed.
The position of the Muslim world in the next 50 years will be a division into 2 politico-economic blocs: a pro-US and a pro-China bloc.
