You just proved “conversation” does not need being face to face. ![]()
It does not matter if you “see” the person or not.
P.S. I do not think niqab is islamic.

Based on the rather dimwitted intellectual exhibits you display here, I wouldn’t bother, but these people who want practice their religious obligations, like they deem fit aren’t forcing their ‘stone age’ views down your throat.
Re: Muslim women in France put on medical masks
good for them.
who gives a damn whether you think its part of the religion or not... the whole point of contention is whether the state has any business mandating dress.
p.s. muslims are the biggest hypocrites around these days. in their countries they want to have their way but cry about persecution and religious intolerance when given a bit of their own medicine.

Couldn't have said it better.
Re: Muslim women in France put on medical masks
Honestly, it reminds me of a child who's been told that they can't do something, so they poke around and try to find loopholes to do something similar. And they end up feeling quite proud about themselves once they accomplish it.
Until they sufficiently tick off their parents enough that they go to more extremes, and it's taken from them.
See it coming?

Care to explain what hypocrisy muslims show?
Freedom of being able to wear whatever they feel like should be allowed. Muslims, Jews or christians..etc.
Where did these women force french half or full nude women to wear hijab or niqab? Any example?

You mean France is playing the role of a parent? Why not dig a little deeper in your books and think of France as a parent not giving the right to the child??? They are taking away the right to wear what the women want. You think that's fair?? Give me a break. At least practice your views fairly, if you don't believe in niqab, fine but don't justify the ban with childish reasons.

bhai learn to first read something carefully. first part of my post was quite clear about my stance on them wearing whatever they like.
the hypocrisy part was a general statement about the muslims and is right on the money. Those who are adamant that their religious sensitivities and beliefs should be respected are mostly those who have the least amount of respect for others' beliefs and sensitivities. If our argument is that a person's dress is no one else's business, then shouldn't mini skirts be allowed in muslim countries? Shouldn't muslims be allowed to convert to other religion without fear of bing lynced? If one group's sensitivities are going to be given legal sanction, shouldn't the minorities be also shown such care?
Just a few posts above mine someone said that a person's belief is his own business and that no one else should be telling them what is and isn't their faith. Yet the same person has no qualms telling me what my belief is and isn't. Hypocrisy like this is abound in muslim societies. The zealous types who demand all kinds of freedoms in the west are exactly the people who are against giving the same freedoms to miniorities in their ideal societies.
Re: Muslim women in France put on medical masks
Dumbasses, you said covering up is rude. Now it changes if it is body armor or if it is a medical mask or a veil?
Different standards only exist when there is a bias.
niqaabs are stupid.. its rude to not show ur face to others while having a conversation.. its called a face to face conversation.. not a face to curtain...
this is obviously about face to face conversations...
The next thing you would do is walk straight into an operation theater during an operation and ask all the doctors and nurses to remove the masks from their faces because it is rude to talk like that because during the operation the docs must have a face to face conversation.
Then you would also try to teach manners of taking face to face to people in public who are trying to avoid dust and pollution.
Then you would walk into industries and remove the masks of the workers because they are working together but are being very rude to each others because they are not talking face to face.
The last thing I would hope for you is that you may never walk into a room where doctors are trying to supply oxygen to a rude patient through something that is preventing a fact to face talk..
Interesting how the hypocrites crawls out from under woods to suck up to the west. Mental slavery is a big disease these days and its becoming more and more obvious on GS..
The question is what gives you guys/the french the right to impose your beliefs onto other people depending on what YOU think is neccessary in Islam or not?
I know for sure that you would be the loudest ones to squeal if your gov imposed the niqaab on you, so on what basis are you hooting about the french law here? You guys are either totally insecure/embarrased about your own muslim identity, or you are unbelievably twisted.
Its quite sick actually.

Let me make it simple for you, so you are supporting Female Genital mutilations by Africans - as far i know its their religious obligation ?
Re: Muslim women in France put on medical masks
Firenze why do you mouth of stupidity? I mean seriously. Google your dumbass point before you make a statement.
FGM is not a religious obligation in any of the 34 African states where it is practice. It is a tradition that is dominant in Sub Saharan Africa but does not have linkages with any major religion or animalistic belief.
Re: Muslim women in France put on medical masks
CM: Don't bother bro. This guy has some sort of inferiority complex. All of rantings in his posts reveal how sorry he is for not being born as white American...

dude, are you speaking on behalf of 34 African states, that how much this is sacred to them?
As far major religions linkages concern, if we go according to your logic.. then well... not everything will be fine.

We feel pity for him.
holy crap, how did you know - what are you, mind reader?

You know, I was thinking of that 3-4 days ago. I was at the airport and saw a young Chinese woman sitting at a terminal gate with the surgical mask on. I was like, wth .. so its ok to wear it in the name of prevention from germs but not ok to wear something similar in the name of religion!
I am glad that they came up with this way of doing hijaab. I am in fact proud of these women.
Re: Muslim women in France put on medical masks
Honestly speaking, slowly I am getting really fed up with these Burka/Hijab issues.
Especially when I see some girls with hijab standing on a bus stop, smoking and flirting around. This does not leave a good impression on an average Joe. Just wearing Hijab or Burka does not make you a good Muslim.
Besides people in the west do not really look at you if you are in normal modest clothes, but it really looks odd and invites many glimpses when in this hot weather someone with a full size Burqa and Niqab passes by.
So please if you have decided to live in this western society, do us all a favor and switch to modest dress code that Islam has advised (not this Burqa thing!).
Thank you sisters!
