no my reaction would not have been different if the victim of the murder attempt had been female. yes ur right what she did is not justifiable in islam but what about what he did? i dnt understand y he even bothered going all the way to pakistan to find a bride only to treat her like this.
He didn't beat her hence no punishment for him. The solution to their problem was divorce or separation but apprantely the woman didn't want that because of citizenship or money so she thought just get rid of him altogether.
