is that for Pakistan's politics or foreign?

hypothetically, in a hypothetical country, what would you feel about voting for a non muslim candidate when there is a lesser qualified, muslim alternative? particularly if you're in a muslim majority country?

hypothetically speaking, I'd like to know the kafir's thoughts/beliefs about his religion, about Islam and then compare the two, not to forget I'd like to know the "Muslim's evil being" and his thoughts/convictions about "his" religion and find out how good/bad he has been in other areas.

Assalamu Alaykum,

I will like to say that all non-Muslims are not Kaafirs. In fact, it is not even appropriate for us to label anyone as Kaafir. Qur'an has used distinctly three different words for non-Muslims, Ahlul Kitaab (people of the Book), Mushrikeen (Idolators), and Kaafirs (Infidels). Kaafirs were those people who had understood that Muhammad (sws) was the Prophet of Allah and Qur'an was Allah's Book, and after having understood this, they denied them both out of their arrogance were finally labelled by Allah, because He is the only one who could know what is in their hearts. The first time Qur'an used the address "O Kaafirun" in Surah Kafirun was right before Prophet (sws)'s migration to Medinah, whereby the Prophet had proven it to the Quraysh that he was the Prophet of Allah and Qur'an was Allah's book, yet they did not believe. Compare this with his early days as well as Prophet (sws)'s dealings with the People of the Book who are also non-Muslims.

Therefore, for us to label someone a Kaafir today is not appropriate. We are dealing with people of the Book, non-Muslims and so forth.

Comments are welcome.
Best Regards

in the PTV discussion a Hindu and a christian representatives of these two Pak minorities raised this question, that it is very easy that a muslim candidate easily says not to vote against his kafir (hindu or christian) candidate. the ptv incharge was smart enogh to disregard this real question.
