Muslim Universities

Are there any muslim university anywhere in the world where one can get proper education for islam and perhaps become a scholar someday?
If there are any, what are the fees like for these institutes ?

There must be many good institutions all over the world, but the first name that comes to my mind is Jamia Alazhar. It is one of the oldest and largest institutions in Islam.

Why go anywhere else, Pakistan has the best one, Islamic University i.e. the campus next to Faisal Mosque.

Islamabad, but the Islamic dept. is still there... The IT, MBA, BBA depts have shifted to blue area, and its been a while

I havnt checked the links, but is there any way you can sort of do distant learning, online course for shariah law, islamic banking etc??

The Dawah Academy is still there (Faisal Mosque). The other departments used to be in Blue Area in rented plazas, however they have moved to the new campus.

In 2001 I graduated from the International Institute of Islamic Economics with an Honors degree in Economics:)

So did they teach just normal economics, or was it islamic economics..
can i just ask, what if you wana study from another country can u still do that? Coz this uni looks pretty impressive..and i jus heard heaps of people come from diff countries yea..
