Asefi expresses sorrow over killer quake in east Asia
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi has voiced deep sorrow over Saturday’s killer quake in the three east Asian countries of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan. “The natural and painful quake disaster, which has left many people killed or injured in Pakistan and India, has made Iranian people and government deeply unhappy and depressed; and we extend our condolence to the people and governments of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan, on the occasion” said Asefi in a message on Saturday. Asefi also shared sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims, wishing patience for them, recovery for the injured and divinely forgiveness for the dead. Based on certain reports, the lethal quake has killed more than 1,000 people in Pakistan, and 250 others in Muzaffarabad in Indian controlled Kashmir.
