Gul: Turkey Will Be The First Country To Help Pakistan
Turkish Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah Gul has indicated on Saturday that Turkey has experienced enormous pain due to natural disasters and that Turkey will therefore be the first country to help Pakistan, where an earthquake of 7.6 magnitude took place earlier this morning. I sincerely hope that there is not too many deaths as a result of the big earthquake, said Gul. ‘‘When you look at the magnitude of the earthquake, it could have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people. Turkey has began preparations to send aid to Pakistan. There are Turkish NGOs who are ready to provide assistance to earthquake stricken regions of Pakistan. There may be casualties in India as well. I wish the Pakistanis and Indians fast recovery from the devastating earthquake,’’ said Gul.
