So yes, the Palestinian people led by the PLO did survive without a cent from the US between 1948 and 1993. But Israel with $100 billion dollars of aid from the US could not hang onto South Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

SB your sentiments are based on good niyyat. No one can blame you for that. These are the same sentiments expressed by many of my friends.

However Palestinian problem should not force us to be flawed and emotional in our analysis.

PLO was on the payroll of Kommie leftie Ruskies. Before that Mufti-Shufti of Palestine was on the payroll of Adolph Hitler (Mufti was Hitler's darbari).

So yes Palestinians have been taking cash from Europeans as well and for a long time. It is just pathetic that they always ended up getting fed by the losing side. First the Nazis and then the Ruskies.

May be it is the bad luck of Palestinians, may be poor analytical skills, may be tribal mindset, may be a combination of all these ills.

The bottom line is that Paletinians are in deep deep trouble. And the last thing they need is false promises that have been passed on to them by their $tupid leaders.

Even now all these Arabs and Iranians will use and abuse Palestinians to shore up support at home. As soon as these poverty stricken Palestinians are in trouble, every Arab and every Irani will run away like a pathetic rat, just like they have done for 60 odd years.

Think of abject failure, over decades and think Arabs, Africans, and other tribals around the world.

Sad utterly sad.

By 2000, Israel withdrew from that because Hezbollah was rendered ineffective, and it no longer needed that security zone and gave it up as a jesture of peace.

That is what “I am educated” Mr Wikpedia said in this thread, and in another thread he said the following on the same topic.

Look at Hezbollah, it targetted Israeli soldiers in its 18 year war, and Israeli public opinion to continue to occupy southern lebanon eroded and Israel withdrew.

while hezbollah targetted Israel, it became recognized as a political movement

since hezbollah confied targets to southern lebanon and not israel proper, many israels viewed that if israel withdraws that hezbollah wont target israel

you have to learn to digress information in many differnet ways

Let me explain:
I was addressing two different questions with differnet viewpoints.

Now as to Hezbollah and Israel.

Hezbollah was created in 1982 by Iran when Israel invaded Lebanon.

Hezbollah fought an 18 year war with SLA and Israeli forces in Southern Lebanon. Hezbollah didnt target Israeli civilians but confined the war to Israeli forces. This changed opinions in the Israeli public and in May 2000, there was strong support for withdrawl from Southern Lebanon and Israel pulled out.

Now for my other statement, Israel after invading Lebanon maintained a 20 km security zone. It was here that there were incessent fire fights and battles between Israeli forces and Hezbollah. When Israel pulled out of Southern Lebanon it wasn't just the public opinions which determined if Israel should pull out from Lebanon but it was a big boost, it was also the fact, that in the 18 year war, Hezbollah was no longer a threat to mainland Israel.

In statemetn 1 I was addressing how Hamas can change Israeli public viewpoint by not targetting civilians but confining attacks to soldiers which will erode public support for occupation. In the other, Israeli forces felt confident enough that if they withdraw from the security zone Hezbollah will not be a problem as it was in the mid-1980's.

Thats what I am saying. In order to end the occupation, 2 things have to happen
1 - Israeli public has to see that the occupation is a useless eneavour
2 - Israeli military personnel have to see that once they leave the occupied area, that certain group will no longer present a threat to Israel.

Plus individual contributions from countries i.e $50-100 million from Iran, $50 million from Qatar, $35 million from Algeria, $20 million from Saudi Arabia, and others flooding in.

What about Bangladesh? How much are they pledging?

Yasser Arafat was always pro-Indian than pro-Pakistan..

the PLO and the Palestinians have a long history of being pro-Indian than pro-Pakistan

When will Pakistanis understand, that the Israel and Palestine conflict is not about religion to Arabs

Its about ethnicity

Arabs vs Jews, not Islam vs Judiasm

Thats why Arabs help out those countries who can help them in return and not help those countries on the basis of religion

Thats why Arabs maintain strong relations with Russia even though Russia has killed 250,000 Chechens since 1994.

Thats why Arabs maintain strong relations with India even though India has killed over 100,000 muslims since 1989.

With Russia its weaponry and with India its economics and trade.

Pakistan needs to understand this and start looking out for its own benefit and not get entangled in issues which doesn't concern it or work against its national interests
