While I agree with ur point in principle, it raises one question. At what point are immigrant french, muslim or otherwise, sufficiently french enough that they can make demands of their govt? It would be unfair to tell a second or third generation french citizen to accept every policy of the french govt or leave. The immigration process is a two way street. If they choose to come France, then it was the french who let them in.

IMO, they are “French enough” as soon as they get their French passports. But to make demands, they need to be in a majority, don’t you think. Christians here live under the “Islamic” constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (at least in principle lol).

In the case of the Burka Ban, the French Parliament , elected by the FRENCH people supports it. When Muslims have a majority in the parliament, they can repeal it.
