Croquet, while reading books by muslims about Prophets do remember that , there is very little information about "details" of their lives from reliable Islamic sources that is Quran and Sahihi Ahadith. Most of the details have been taken from narrations of some companions (not of Prophet pbuh) and from biblical sources then tailored to muslim beliefs.
so far that has been my opinion as well. Thus i created the thread to find out whether there are some reliable good sources. Why i want to read the biographies? Curosity i guess. I have read small booklets and brief information on these prophets a.s but would like to know more about them. It comes up in comparative analysis at times. For instance (and i cannot vouch for the information) i once heard a discussion involving about Prophet Muhammad pbuh and the number of his wives where it was produced that Hazrat Suleman also was polygmas. Just something i am interested in but i want to be able to get my hands as much reliable sources as i can. For obviously as a muslim i donot want to be a reason for disrespect to any messenger of Allah.
