Expressing ‘grave concern’ over the high rise of Muslim population growth as reflected in the first-ever census report on religion, BJP on Tuesday called for an even population growth and uniform adoption of population control measures by all communities.
Noting that a decline in Hindu population was ‘disturbing’, BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu told reporters that combined with the ‘alarming’ phenomenon of ‘demographic invasion’ by Bangladeshi infiltrators, the imbalance posed serious questions of a ‘long-term nature’.

I fail to see how India can become a Muslim country considering it is the home of a billion Hindus. But then again if you think the Indian Muslim minority in India is thriving in success, then anything is possible.

I am sure they are, but doesn't necessarily equate into success. There is and always be an animosity towards Muslims in India as is clearly evident by the article posted by the author of the thread.
WHy shoudn't BJP worry about it. Just hope that BJP or its sister organisations do not initiate another pogrom like they did in Gujerat. I think Muslims of India are as much Indians as Hindus in PAkistan are loyal to our country. But BJP's tactics and unfound fears, apprehensions and suspicions towards an otherwise peaceful comunity would transfrom the innocent youth to take up arms in no time.

they dont have similarities and they stand out in west pakisdtan
they are more comfortable in india they get to vote right away

heyy..ahmedabad is a nice city minus the cows, i walked around with hijab when my parents weren’t around, and i still had a really good time. noone threw me dirty looks, threw rocks at me, cussed at me, or made me feel inferior. if u haven’t been to ahmedabad gujarat, then don’t judge it by what stupid politicians instigate, because i know from personal experience that it’s not hell on earth, and gujrati youngsters (muslim and hindu alike) don’t walk around with stickers on their forehead saying “Don’t associate with me if your a Grass Eating Cow Loving Hindu” or “Don’t associate with me if your a flesh Eating Mian” our neighbors downstairs were muslim, and we always went over their house after 3pm to play karem and drink that pink colored milk. so..ha!
it seems you have forgotten that this is referring to a party that nearly 700 Million indians (primarily hindus) voted to kick out of power a few months ago.
i guess the thought of an unstable india brings glee to the faces of many pakistanis, possibly even yourself. well, it may comfort you to know that there is plenty of communal discord still present in india. i guess it will sadden you to know that it is notably decreasing as every generation passes and modernization continues.
anyone who has been to india knows that the tales of doom and gloom of indian muslims are not quite truthful, just ask an indian muslim. muslims and hindus are by and large peaceful and friendly towards each other. the majority of the bad relations is amongst the poor and uneducated. as education improves and the economy brings in more money, these 2 groups naturally decline in population and as a result, issues like communal disharmony will diminish.
As bad as gujarat was for Indian Muslims, it must not be forgotten that:
Hindu majority Indian electorate voted out BJP from the Centre decisively
India's Supreme Court has forced Gujarat government to punish the rioters. Many have received life sentences already. While there are many many more to go, the fact that the culprits are slowly getting prosecuted is a good sign
The Rioting did not spread to other areas and despite tensions created by vested interests, most Indian communities are violence free to a large extent
The growth of Muslim population is not to be a specific concern despite what the BJP's spokesidiots whine regularly. India will not undertake forced sterilizations or any drastic measure. The key is to get the population in check - be it Hindu, Muslim or athiest.
I am sure it is nice enough to rebuild the houses burnt in the riots, fill the looted shops, and help out the families of 2000+ burnt and hacked.

once again, don't judge the city of ahmedabad and it's people by stupid politicians who see it in their best interest to instigate such things, the entire country of india knows that it's all politics, average everyday people don't have the time or the resources to go around burning down people's homes. duh.
