Muslim/Pakistani and....

Vegetarian!

Does such a combination exist? Is anyone out there a pak-veggie? I’m yet to MEAT  one…!

LOL.

I know quite a few ppl who are Muslim but vegetarian. I myself prefer veggies over meat, but I still like my chicken and my kebabs :D

i was a vegeterian for 5 years before coming to UK but then there werent too many veggie options here and i didnt knew to cook :(

when my brother went to uni - he had a g/f who was vegetarian and he decided he wanted to be too.
when he came home - mums kebabs and chicken are enough to turn any veggie back to eating meat. :D

my sis was a Vegetarian!

I mm kool with annything :smokin2: even just a big bowl of fruitsalad for dinner is :yummy:

Hmmmmm, cheeseburger and steaks!!! :mudhosh: :mudhosh: :mudhosh: :mudhosh: :mudhosh: :mudhosh: :mudhosh:

a friend of mine is a Vegetarian... she cant even smell meat... if she does then she feels like vommiting...

I cant stand vegetarians…if i see them..i go  Especially male vegetarians…

Sometimes I have guilty feeling eating meat :) does this makes me one on paper ?

Im a vegetarian who eats fish, lol..
:p

my mom is vegitarian. :)

Neely....make it Muslim, Pakistani, Male Vegetarian..

Good point Sharaabi. The only muslim/Pakistani vegetarians I know are female.

yup, i know a lot of them.. sometimes i become one too..

being a vegetarian isn't hard..but cooking for vegetarians that live with you everyday is hard..coz being a vegetarian doesn't mean they like all veggies..also every vegetarian has a different choice of vegetable, lentils or beans...so its hard for the person who has to cook..

I was a vegetarian for two minutes - once the McDonalds fries were finished, I switched to the Big Mac.

Hi friends,

There is nothing wrong in becoming vegetarian. Don’t wait for doctor to tell you. At some point of life you body will stop accepting the high protein dead rotten stuff. Eat healthy live healthy. You are not converting to some mumbo jumbo religion.
It’s after all you body and your mouth to taste dead animals.
Be compassionate with other living beings.

Never mind, if you think I am marketing some Religion or Philosophy.

Have a good day!

Even islamically, meat should be consumed in moderation - back in the days of the prophet (saw), meat was only eaten on special occasions like Eid etc. There is also a hadith about the worst vessel a human can fill is his stomach.

Huh? i never heard that...will have to confirm that...

I think u mite be getting confused. You are asked eat in moderation. There was never mentioning of meat. There were many occasions where prophet and his companions were having meat. I think should confirm on this issue....

You are misunderstanding me!

I said Islam teaches that we do things in moderation and that is the same with food.

If you do research the prophet's (SAW) eating habits, Im sure you will find that meat was not eaten daily as it is nowaday but occasionally.

My sister is a vegetarian trying to be a vegan, I too am seriously considering going down that route.
