^ depends on what they are teaching. If they are being asked to acknowledge that gay couples have the same legal rights as heterosexual couples, then it is simply making the children aware of a legal fact. If they are being asked to be sensitive to and aware of the fact that families come in all shapes and sizes and that students in their classroom may have parents of the same gender, etc, then that is also fine – that is called constructing a safe environment for your children to learn and grow. If they are being asked to say, “All boys should marry other boys and all girls should marry other girls,” then you can legitimately have a panic attack about being “infected.”

I’m more worried about them pointing out little boys and girls who come from a religious background which prohibits such behavior and regards it as sinful and telling them that a) they are wrong, b) they’re parents are wrong, and/or c) there is no place in them for society so long as they hold those views.

You are correct in that there are neutral facts that can be objetivley stated. The question remains if this is how it will be.
