There is no justification for such things. I think what they show in the movies is totally unacceptable and the way of marketing their movies to different religion.. put a hindu put a muslim.. make a movie.. both will watch it ... However, I'v seen now they show the guy as a muslim and hindu girl to avoid protests. (remember bombay, zakhm) I don't think that really helps with anything.
What I find extremely weird is when SRK says (there is also a scene in the movie) that he puts quran in the mandir with hindu gods.. SERIOUSLY???!! Anyone muslim that has married hindu is doing zinah since the marriage isn't halal. Akhrat main kia ho ga!
It's a pity that Indian people look up to Bollywood stars to establish their faith and learn about their religion. It's getting very common in India for muslim girls to marry hindu boys and not converting...they look at Shahrukh & Gauri Khan as their role models and in fact raise their kids with both sets of religious practices. Not just that, they even defy Quranic principles and have redefined Islam to suit their lifestyle.
Oh well, who are we to judge? I guess it all boils down to whether you watch these movies for pure entertainment or for guidelines on how to live your life.

Why are the muslim girls going to hindu guys? 
It's not that uncommon. ONn of my cousin married a hindu guy and they are still married for 4 years now and are very happy together.
Regardless of any "intellectual" spin on things, a muslim cannot marry a hindu, period. It will not be a marriage, but simply conjugal partners who have perfomed a ceremony which is not marriage.

I want to slap Shahrukh Khan everytime I hear his nonsense about combining Islam and Hinduism together. Apparently the mandir and 'masjid' in his house are combined, Quran placed with the idols and all that. It's one thing if you want to be respectful towards others' religions but you don't need to insult your own this way. His wife in particular comes across as an ignorant person about Islam. She has made a couple of statements on TV such as how her son follows Islam and calls himself Muslim and that upsets her and her mother.

remember that he is our national hero. he has done so much for our country and our culture. pls remember this is a Pakistani forum. and that we should honor our national heroes - not disrespect them.

First of all SRK is not Pakistan's natinal hero.Secondly where are most hindu muslim marriages occuring? Uk or USA?
I also thought it was more other way around.More muslim men are dating/marrying hindu ladies as hindus are not that religious!

In the UK, they are pretty rear.
There is so much history of conflict between the Hindus and Muslims (about at least a thousand years!!), and marriages already go through so much other stresses, so if these couples can make it work, then I have nothing but admiration.
