Muslim Behavior

Re: Muslim Behavior

Yes, I’m afraid that thats what we are doing. Most of us are born into the religion and though we are ‘taught’ religion but how many of us actually “learn” it? We do memorize it though.

We follow Islam culturally, just like the time when Prophet Mohammed PBUH was born, all the idolators were praying to idols because their forefathers used to do it and they opposed Prophet just for the same reason. We have become like them, though we claim to “know” the religion, but its all verbal, not practical. Just a VERY small example, we have been taught “safaai nisf imaan hay”, now goto Muslim owned public places and compare them with non-Muslim owned public places, even goto restroom in Mosques and you’ll see how our “nisf imaan” is doing, one is supposed to come out clean but ends up getting messier.

Just goto masaajid in Ramzaan, you’ll see almost full masaajid, you’ll find people rushing for “taraweeh” prayer while missed Ishaa prayers. What happens on 30th night (or last night in Ramzan without taraweeh)??? People disappear like they have not been there before. Why? cuz we have probably more importance for “extra prayers” than “mandatory” prayers. They perhaps feel like they have earned enough “sawaab” for rest of the year.
