Bro, I think you are correct. I don’t know about Br. Mirch’s stand however IMO, the Asahaba RA, offered a lot of constructive incentives and efforts, which todays scholars do not, very few have their money where their mouth is. I am not using this phrase in disrespect but however to bring the underlying conflict to surface. Our most famous scholars, spend their efforts explaining Islam and clearing misconceptions more than exemplifying to the Ummah. The most they have to their credit is that they may be translating Arabic works to other languages and running institutions which teach Islam. Though all this is noble and essential, theoretically Islam has been taught for 14 centuries and most, if not all, muslims know their basics and fundamentals. What is needed is expansion into all aspects of life today. Real world solutions. Words are best translated into actions.
