revolution in music..r u talking abt something that had a large impact on the Pakistani society? U might wanna try Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan for some good music that has a large following in Pakistan and abroad.

Nazia and Zohaib are credited with starting the Pop scene not just in Pakistan but in all of sub continent.

Then Vital signs remained the largest and best selling pop group in Pakistan. They were taken over by a pop rock sort of band called Junoon.

Now there r so many bands in Pakistan, its hard to keep track of them all.

which types of music exist in pakistan i have heard that in northern areas of pakistan music is quite different i would like to know about it

Yes zara. It is true that the music in northern areas is very different from the mainstream music. Check out this page to hear some of it:

Their servers slow so u’ll have to wait for the songs to download. Also Pakistan is a very diverse country so almost every province and the regions in those provinces have their own music and culture. So Sindh has its own unique music, as does Balochistan, NWFP and Punjab.

My best friend is from Gilgit and he once actually gave me a link to a site that had different songs from Northern Areas. He’s in Karachiu right now but I’ll try and contact him.

Hey the music is WOW really new to me and i Hope every one will find
it pure in Belgium ..i am going to represent pure music next month hope i will get more information thanks again
