If i am too stressed out, soft slow music relaxes me
If I am thinking too much, loud music can stop the thinking process by being so loud :D

Cons:
Kids hear all kinds of words via it which they shouldn't be knowing about early.

Music with different frequencies, rhythm, beats and pitch can alter the brain activity and the brain waves (electrical activity) of the brain. Different areas are also stimulated leading to an overall soothing calming effect or just the release of endorphins (pleasure causing substances). Music also affects the learning abilities of the mind and it numbs or inhibit some of the brain's activity and thus it causes benefits as well as harms.
