I personally think that it just takes away the spirit of the salam on Prophet :saw: with music in naats. Prophet Muhammad :saw: himself did not like music and there are many ahadith that confirm that music is haram.
We are so much in love with it, that is a different matter. May Allah guide us all and make us accept the truth of Islam as it is.
Many of the naats just piss me off. The come to tv singing for the prophet and for the love they have for him....but they forget the basic teachings. Majority of these women have aadhe nange sir...and wide neck shirts. What happened to the concept of sutr?
Nevermind the countless shirk done....by giving the Prophet excess praise.
Music is one thing, naat hi achi na ho tu faida ![]()
I actually not heard any good naat with music. Althoguh the Qaseeda burda sharif is good.
Najam sheraaz’s Hamd is very Good(without music) Abrar’s Rang rang is good (with music).
So music does not matter, Its Quality.
:k:
Yes music is not the only problem, there’s a far more dangerous and evil thing in so called “Naat” and that is shirk, it’s so hard to find a Islamic poem, especially Desi without any shirk in it (I just pick out the verses I think are permissible and make a few adjusments if feel like reciting a Naat, Nazm or Nasheed.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with expressing your love for Allah, Rasool (saw) or Islam through melodious poetry but music, satr of women being uncovered and polytheism are issues which should be dealt with.
Even without these evils, reciting permissible poetry should be done in moderation, better ways of spending our time are sending durood-o-salaam, zikre ilahi, namaz, tilawat-e-kalam pak etc.
Dont Know the actual Concept in Shariah.. BUT...
To me... NO MATTER at all... Coz... In Sufism.. Qawali is almost Mandatory... Lots of Qawals on Shrines and... I have seen Big Ulemas.. Listening to Qawali...
Qawali is ALso a naat... and.. it has all sort of Music... :)
I rellay like... Adnan Sami... Aye Khuda Aye Khda... NF ALi Khan... Wahi Khuda hay.. and.. His Qawalis with Music..
