Mushtaq Ahmed has been recalled for the England series.
Previously there was a talk about having an assistant coach with the Pakistan team and Mushtaq Ahmed’s name has been mentioned.
I am not sure how successful Mushtaq Ahmed will be if he plays against England as he is not in the same league as Warne and English batsmen are more likely to feel more comfortable against Mushtaq than Warne.
Since there are number of people who are against the idea of having a foreign coach and criticism leveled at Bob Woolmer by certain people - wouldn’t be a good idea to have Mushtaq Ahmed as an assistant coach with him?
He has played plenty of county cricket and has enjoyed great success at Sussex. By this he knows how the county cricket is set up professionally and no doubt bring some ideas to the Pakistan set up.
He is known to have very good cricketing brain (unlike Inzmam) and seems to be a good analyst of players and personally I feel should be groomed to role of a future Pakistan coach when Bob Woolmer calls it a day or is sacked.
We will definitely need a coach at some point in the future and getting the best and professionally qualified coaches from overseas is not easy due to various reasons i.e. financial demands or coaches not willing to accept coaching positions with the PCB because of expectations etc.
I don’t think there are any professionally qualified coaches in Pakistan today to meet the demand of international cricket (PCB could not find coaches for NationalCricketAcademy) which are changing all the time i.e. new training methods, trends & technology etc.
We do not wish to go backwards to the likes of Javed Miandad who is not a qualified coach and has been criticised for his out of date methods instead bring some one who is fresh and young and can get on with people.
Mushtaq Ahmed may not or may have coaching qualifications but has played enough cricket with Sussex which would have provided him enough professional experience and working alongside qualified coaches no doubt would have benefited him i.e. Pete Moores the new director of ECB Cricket Academy was at Sussex with him.
He and other retired Pakistan players should be encouraged by the PCB towards professional qualifications and learn the latest coaching trends so that Pakistan can benefit from them in future.
by the same criteria pakistan has many many many other players who have played county and league cricket.
Has Mushy passe the internationally recognized cricket coaching exams? I think not, the only exams he sits in is either for tablighees or smokin joints on carribian shores.
OK lover boy, first you wanted inzi to retire from cricket and now you want mushtaq to be the assistant coach and than later on take over woolmer’s job.
Are you doping or you are always like that ???
You can’t get your basic facts right. Did I start the thread about Iznmam should retire?? NO you stupid fool. Get your eyes tested. It was started by a different person.
It was started by Cricket_Lover1. Before you start asking another stupid question - yes this is a different person**.**
However what I did write about your chacha Inzmam was not whether he should retire BUT about his selection ROW squad. This is a seperate issue and discussion.
Here we are discussing a totally different issue OK - do you understand or not? May be not.
Also every one has their opinion about something - and my opinion and suggestion about Mushtaq as a future coach has been given above and wanted to know how others feel about it. Tell me whats wrong with this - is he not the right peron or is their some one else more capable like Aqib Javed etc??
There will be a need for future coach for the team when Bob woolmer goes. Or is Pakistan is a going to be team without coach??? So discussing the future is the issue here - may be you don’t have a future and see it the same way for Pakistan cricket team.
You don’t even remember what you have posted earlier and than denying as well. OK it is now confirmed that you are full of dope . If you drag your mouse on your nick and click it, it will tell you find more post by dope lover, and than check post # 15 where you suggested that inzi should retire. I am assuming that you had too much that day, dumb a$$.
A successful coach is more than just an above average player. By that measure, every ex Test cricketer in Pakistan would be in contention! And by the way, how many successful international coaches are there who were also former superstars?
U are full of ‘$hit’. If yoy are that intelligent tell me exactly what I said about Inzi’s or rather your chacha’s retirement???
What are you having today yourself - by the way I don’t even touch the stuff what you had in mind. Maybe you are having too much yourself and know what it feels like - $hit Khan.
Ok Ehsan bhai I will, but you have to admit that he is a piece:D . The next thing we will hear from him will be that he never opened a thread “Mushtaq Ahmed-Assistant Coach”.
Why can’t I open a thread? Are you the owner of this forum??
U are the one who started all this - I didn’t have anything against you, I may have dislike for some players than again I am entitled to my opinion same as you.
Therefore - you are the one who started to be funny in the first place. Get the records staright. Understand.
Did I ever tell you not to open a thread?
I was commenting on what you said earlier and than denying it. And stop crying, you are acting like a little girl.
