I know it’s a big step-up from county to international cricket but Mushy has thrice been the leading wicket-taker in English county over the last four years and surely deserves another chance atleast in the test matches. Mushy took 9-48 (13 in the match) in his last county innings. He dismissed Fleming twice in the match. Kaneria afterall was n’t that impressive against England. Brad Hogg is a regular feature in the Australian OD side and he’s almost 36 the same age as Mushy. Warne is 37 years of age, Kumble and McGill both almost 36. I am not saying drop Kaneria but reckon that we should try Mushy in the not so demanding WI series at home ahead of the tough series in SA early next year.
This is what one Sussex fan Martin Cooper said, ‘‘My grandfather and father, both lifelong Sussex supporters passed away without seeing Sussex win the Championship. This man has brought two victories for me to tell my children about.’’
