i found one more by the name of fabiola its a sister concern of rose saloon in karachi anyone know of that as well...

My friend recently had her party make-up dun at fabiola and it luked fabulous. They charged her around AED 300 for the make up and hair. And as far as mushkbar is concerned i havent heard really gud reviews about them. They mostly concentrate on the typical caking of bride kinda make-up but have no personal experience though...

Re: Mushkbar Salon

Ok... I was wondering if anyone could just paste the link of the thread here...... the thread with all the prices and bridal packages by New Look and Alle Nora in Lahore.
I kknow there is a whole thread about it but I happen not to find it somehow. So i ll appreciate if anyone could paste it over here :)

Re: Mushkbar Salon

Mhuskbar had her salon first in Karachi, Pakistan and then later moved to Dubai. Her original salon is in Karachi still but Mushkbar herslef moved to Dubai. The salon in Karachi use dto eb pretty famous for bridal make up a long time ago. Check out the bridal pics in the salon there and see.

Re: Mushkbar Salon

hey!
I love Mushkbar Beauty Salon. They have very reasonable packages because they have a high standard appeal. I don't know where sunshinegirl heard of 'caking typical bride'... but that is my opinion about other parlours, not Mushkbar.

I have had almost every party make up done from there and when I say to keep it simple, they keep it lovely yet simple. Specially the way they do my eyes... absolutely lovely!

The owner Mushkbar is such a nice lady, i often ask her personally how I want it done and she does a fantastic job. Mushkbar aunty is very loving, polite and she is sooooooo understanding, she gives me beauty tips very often too. I have seen so many beautiful brides come out of the salon who you will not recognize in reality. Plus, the henna is superb! I even get my hairstyling done from there which is so unique and neat!

For my elder sister-in-law's wedding, she got her make-up done for her wedding at another salon which was cheaper.. but her make-up started to wear out by the middle of the wedding and her foundation looked like it was melting away. On the walima day I took her to Mushkbar, she was so impressed. Both, by the make-up and how charming and sweet Mushkbar herself was. Her daughters were there too, they are really well-mannered girls.
My sister in law was delighted throughout her walima, Mushkbar Beauty Parlour was a magical touch!

Oh yes, there is a worker I should warn you about, her name is Khalida. She has left the beauty Parlour. I read some comments on her which clients wrote on Mushkbar's blog and I have personally seen Khalida. She is not a nice woman. She pretends to be nice and loving but is a backstabber who makes fun of the clients. She has started snatching Mushkbar's clients and telling them she will charge less but actually she is trying to snatch Mushkbar's clients. But Khalida is someone who I hate, she is too rude and fake and has a two-faced nature. Don't go to her if you don't wish to be made fun of.
I am fatihful to Mushkbar, she is in my opinion the best beautician in the whole world!

^ wow.. do u have any pics? I saw a bride done by her called "Sobia" and poor thing she asked me to tone down her makeup and take most of it off! I had no clue why and obviously she hated it. Mushkbar spoilt her entire wedding and she was miserable throughout! I was coordinating her photo-shoot and felt miserable for her. FK had asked me about it and I told her I had no clue abt Mushkbar..but yes I know now that the poor girl looked sad in ALL her pics..

Re: Mushkbar Salon

i agree with gina, i thought Fabiolla was better then Mushkbar but now i am having second thoughts. And fk as i said i have been going to Fabiolla and suggested that to you too. good to see you gathering second opinions. i would say go with Fabiolla, 300 dirhams is seriously not bad if that is what they will be charging you.

Re: Mushkbar Salon

Hmm..... I understand all that. Mushkbar may not have been the one who did Sobia's make up, it could have been Khalida. Khalida is not that good as I say. She and Samina often lie to the clients that they are 'Mushkbar'. Which is not true, why else do you think Mushkbar fired Khalida? Lolz....

Anyhows, I have no offence against Fabbiolla or any of Gina's comments. It happens. But when a person dislikes her make up, she should definetly go straight to the person who does the make up.

Its not easy to know what the bride wants until and unless you don't tell the beautician what you want you know..

I always ask mushkbar aunty specific details, like when making my eyes smokey, not to spread the way her lebanese and arabic clients want. My sister in law specifies too. People end up loving it when they have how they request it.

Plus I have gotten simple make ups less than 300 dirhams sometimes from Mushkbar and they stay on till midnight. In my experience of other salons which charge 150 dirhams or 270 dirhams, the make up starts wearing out very very early.

I feel sorry for Sobia but she should have really specified how she wanted her make-up. Mushkbar gets all types of clients from arabic, lebanese, from Oman and even Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Europeans. When you have so many ethnicities who love deep and fully done make-up, then its not Mushkbar's fault is it? I have had many Pakistani bride friends who I took to Mushkbar and they specified to not 'cake up' or make 'too deep' of make up. And their results were great

As far as pictures are concerned, I would love to put them up.
How about you guys go to Mushkbar's blog? /or seach for Mushkbar on photobucket?

hi dearies,

i got my wedding make up and baraat make up done from mushkbar, everyone loved it and i indeed was looking fabulous

Re: Mushkbar Salon

you are a girl??:eek::hayaa:

I asked Sobia and she says it was Mushkbar herself and she didn't want anyone else doing it for her AND she specified she wanted a light base, heavy eyes and light lips! And the color of her face was 7 shades lighter than her arms and neck.

I've tried the makeup at Allure and loved it.. it's owned by the people of New Look in Lahore.
