I abhorred Musharraf’s regime. However 18th ammendment is a bill of convenience for the political parties (PPP, ANP, PML, MQM). Without party elections it has instilled hereditary rule in parties. By giving complete power to un-elected party chiefs, as disqualifying members who vote out of line, it has turned democracy into a ‘Party-bossocracy’.
Now a non-Pakistani, un-elected, head of party sitting in a first world country (Lets say Bilawal, Altaf or Sharif Jr sitting in London) can run the affairs of the country and has been given legal cover.
18th amendment is no solution rather a new source of problems.
