What you think he has any chance ? I doubt it . But one thing very disappointing that our politicians couldn’t deliver and people have started looking for an alternative .
No one is looking for an alternative from Musharraf.
He had a decade, in which he looted, killed, tortured, and left the country in a horrible state.
This has already been discussed here recently

Unfortunately people have very short memories...
But also he can't get elected as he simply does not have the clout required in a parliamentary system of government.
Pakistan needs a change of system, a Presidential form of government like in the US. With the 18th amendment we have given rise to 'Party Boss' system of government.
Re: Musharraf will participate in next elections !!
musharaff doesnt have a voter base.. he would need an ISI created party to adopt him, which is no longer possible with duet of bigger parties ( nawaz + zardari) present in the country. MQM and ANP might support him but he would need a clean pass from supreme court which is unlikely . plus he is not the kind to tread the dusty old rural streets of pakistan for politics of the masses. he is more of a "drawing-room"politicians and would not agree to position of weakness in the name of political compromise after ruling the nation for about a decade with a n iron-fist.
so i doubt if he has a future in Ugly Paki Politics

I am amazed to see a 9 years president bragging about his Facebook friends ![]()

If you are asking if this govt is perfect, no they have made many mistakes
But they have made positive steps like the 18th Amendment, a proper commitment to fight the Pakistan Taliban, true media freedom, etc
A democratic govt that can be kicked out, and will be accountable is much, much better than a dictator who kills to continue his corrupt rule

I abhorred Musharraf's regime. However 18th ammendment is a bill of convenience for the political parties (PPP, ANP, PML, MQM). Without party elections it has instilled hereditary rule in parties. By giving complete power to un-elected party chiefs, as disqualifying members who vote out of line, it has turned democracy into a 'Party-bossocracy'.
Now a non-Pakistani, un-elected, head of party sitting in a first world country (Lets say Bilawal, Altaf or Sharif Jr sitting in London) can run the affairs of the country and has been given legal cover.
18th amendment is no solution rather a new source of problems.

Perfect, mistakes? I live in real world and know the shortcomings. Problem is the priorities, we have ministers who think corruption is their right, we have ministers with fake degrees and when they get exposed they get other special status in PM house.
Since overtaking the govt how many power plants have been initiated/started? Rental power projects do not count. You talked about loot in Mushy's era, did you read the links I provided? Thats just in 2 years of govt.
Hopefully you will remember how much I criticized Mush during his era, so you should not consider my posts as pro-Mushy.

Rental power plants are also a money making scheme by PPP. Most of the machinery is old, worthless. Barely able to produce / generate Power.
Huge amount of kick back has been received, many large companies (e.g. Siemens) are not allowed to directly bid. They have to go through agents. All agents are connected with PPP politicians. In order to get government contracts you have to pay a very large commission to the intermediary agents. All of them are required to share the proceeds with PPP.
I prefer to stay away from political threads but I couldnt stop this time from saying:
" Good luck and Best wishes to Mr. Pervaiz Musharraf "
Now that I have spent one minute of my precious time posting this, you guys may carry on with the ever unending and useless debate. :)

From Kargill, to Waziristan, to Baluchistan, to Swat, to NRO… General saab’s life has been a manifestation of classical blunders that bone-headed generals make, endangering lives of the jawans they command and civilians they conquer.
and then… ‘i have so many fans on facebook’ ![]()

durrrr fittay munn musharaf ka. no one wants him. manhoooos kahin ka ![]()
I concur :k:
As citizen of Pakistan, Mushy has every right to participate in the elections, but can he tell us, what new thing he'll bring in the country? we all know how he BENDS and shows his back-side to Americans and Indians... so have he mastered the art yet?
Other thing is, do he have any other plans to increase exports, now i am not saying that he should sell Pakistani citizens to USA, this is something he admitted in his book, now what other plans does he have in the bag?
We for sure know that he had got himself circled by the best of the best in the field of corruption, dancers and tabla nawaz, do he have any other plans this time..
Last not least, can he dare walk and/or live in UK, USA without guards? ( and without wetting his pants, in case there are no guards)
Mushy must understand something, i have more fans on my facebook and there are more people in Pakistan ( in different areas) who listens to me, so a free advice to him, he have looted lots of Money ( the same money is being used to pay his bills), he have damaged country more than any current political leader can do ( yes he in the race with Mujeeb and Bhutto) and we have already many leaders who are corrupt, who don't know how to talk or run country so we don't want to add up that population..
