Musharraf wants to be PML[Q] head

Yeah. Depends on how recent is that baggage, and if the "baggage holder" has spent time in jail or better yet spent time abroad. Give and take 5 years of absence and Pakistani masses are willing to forgive and forget.

We are emotional people (sadly) and that usually gets the better side of us. We get our anger out, lynch someone (at least politically) and then we are all calm for a couple of years.

Among many difference's is those that rule as Army Generals face no accountability, and no justice for their crimes

Joining MQM is political suicide for Musharraf, plus he is not 100 Mahajir, his wife is from Jhelum, punjab.
In my opinion Musharraf should form his own party with Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim.

Party Name: Republican unity party or National Socialist Party or United National People’s Party

Musharraf should request following people to switch Political Party.

Syed Mustafa Kamal (Karachi Mayor- MQM)?
Farooq Sattar (MQM)?
Kashmal Tariq?
Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq (PML-Q)
Humayun Akhtar Khan (PML-Q)
Tariq Azim Khan (PML-Q)
Sheikh Rashid Ahmad (AML)?
Ahsan Iqbal (PML-N)?
Javed Hashmi (PML-N)?
Manzoor Wattoo(PML-N?
Bushra Gohar (ANP)?

I think any party should stay clear from Ijazul Haq, Sheikh Rasheed, Farooq Sattar atleast, not sure about rest of the people in the list. As long as Musharraf goes thru judicial process and then joins a political party I'm okay with that, hopefully he doesn't use his military connections once in politics.

Accountability is the mother of all conspiracy theories. On paper it looks good. For self-styled intellectuals it brings mental-orgasm.

In reality the only thing this theory does is to create hatred in the country. We put so many accountability commissions that now we have run out of names.

We spent so much money on running such commissions that we must start accountability of all these commissions and the money spent on them.

In Pakistan's environment, there is a common practice in criminal offenses to put all your opponents in the FIR. Once these poor fellas are in the list, a new cycle of crime and corruption starts.

Haven't we learned anything from 50 years of accountability? That it doesn't work.

Throughout the subcontinent, jailed and convicted politicians win elections year after year. Indians, BDeshis and Pakistanis alike bring felons back to power.

So forget about accountability the way it is practiced in India, Pakistan and BDesh. This is all just a political witch-hunt.

military personel and retired ones should be banned from politics.

dont they make enough in their retirement?

That does not justify supporting Musharraf taking Pakistan for a ride, yet again...

Some of the people above are pretty staunch enemies of Musharraf. For instance, Javed Hashmi would never ever join Musharraf. Furthermore, there are some people in that list that were initially supporting Musharaf, but later turned into his critics, and Kashmala is a prime example. Some people, like Sheeda and Wattooo shouldnt even be considered because of their pasts.

This is Pakistani politics, our politicians will kiss the dog if they see $$$, doesn't matter if it's Javed Hashmi or Kashmala.

Just like how Mushy was doing so? If you believe they will sell out, that just shows your recommendation wont work. We need dedicated people, not sellouts.

Btw, I dont think someone like Javed Hashmi would ever join musharraf. Keep in mind they tried very hard to get him to switch sides, like the chaudhries etc, and when all failed, they came up with a stupid treason charge to put him behind bars for years. I also urge you to read Kashmala's comments about Musharraf afters he was kicked out the PML[Q].

re: Musharraf wants to be PML[Q] head

Musharaf is a Good man !

Too bad of many Pakistanis who don't understand "good' from "bad' otherwise this nation would have prospered long before.

Sorry 'Spock' My father always taught me to be very specific when dealing with people from north-west pak because they'r slow and akherout in the head. ( niswaar influence)

Musharaf was their toe crusher and had to pay the price. One always pays the price.

I support musharaff too but not by insulting a fellow Pakistani.

NOTE: No name calling!

It would certainly be nice. :)

And you'r lucky or time opportunist to use curse word like this ^ on this forum otherwise I usualy don't tolerate it for one second
I can perhaps teach you at lenghts about manners and when to carry big guns to a battle.

Sorry to have disrespected your race in any way.

There is no point killing a thug and make him hero so that many other thugs keep coming back to haunt the country in the name of killed thug. A person can do as much as it is possible in limited time. Nevertheless, some ignorant and blinds without any knowledge of economy, development and progress, may not see things, and certainly many jealous thugs are crying all the time about Musharraf period, still those who know economy, developments, and progress that Pakistan seen during Musharraf period, would remember that. Now it is up to Nation to see the truth and save themselves from thug politicians using name of democracy to loot, plunder and destroy the country, and if not, then they deserve to get looted by these thugs, without sympathy.

Anyhow, today NS and his party of paid crooks got reduced to regional party, with possibility that they may not be even regional party in near future. As for PPP, they also have many corrupts in their rank and file (though apart of few, most are not as mega corrupt as thugs in PMLN). Anyhow, their performance in last election, especially after murder of their leader BB, was not that spectacular as one could have expected. I think that their future is also bleak, unless they show some good performance in government.

I know that propaganda machine of thug politicians are doing all what they can to keep the reputation of their thug paymasters intact, so that they can keep making fool of innocent Pakistanis with their lies, false allegations, false promises, harassment and intimidation, to get into power and then start their dirty dance of looting, plundering, and destroying the country. One can only pray that Allah destroy all corrupts and those who support them knowingly.

For me, I pray to Allah that 'WHOEVER' held political office in Pakistan, if they are corrupts, cheaters, liars, deceivers, propagandists, looters, plunderers, etc, then they, their close family members, wife and children, friends, paid journalists who promoted them, and all who benefitted from them illegally, they all burn in hell forever, InshaAllah ... and I also pray that all who put obstacles in front of these thugs and protected interest of Pakistan, by whatever means, legal or illegal, using their pen, military positions or government offices, Allah give them reward.

Note: I am a fair person, so my dua is for 'WHOMEVER' irrespective, and that means even if Musharraf or Shaukat Aziz did corruption while holding public office, than they should also burn in hell fire. For me, any politicians while in public office, regardless of the party they belong, if they have done corruption using public office they hold, than they are cursed and should burn in hell. I hope that supporters of thugs like Nawaz, Zardari, Atezaz, Iftikhar, etc would join me in this dua, that if the leaders they support are thugs and choors, they also want these leaders to burn in hell fire forever.

yar, i just want unity amongst Pakistanis no matter the ethnicity. It really disappoints me when I see posts where we flame each others ethnic backgrounds. No matter Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashtun, Mahajir, Baluchi or Kashmiri; its all about one Pakistan.

This one word should unite us all.

Who is talking about killing other thug? There is a thing called "justice" not too many people are familiar with it these days.

I am sure others considered him to be a good man when he termed helpless rape victims as 'visa seekers' or when he sold people for a handful of dollars.

Yes, and the same goes for people who cant see the flaws in a leader who raped the country for 8 whole years following his ego trip, only to resign with utter shame after being threatened for impeachment.

Sorry, no offense but I think that's a racist upbringing. I dont think of the people from the NWFP in such a way. They have qualities which are unique, and are a brave and honorable lot. If only others would learn from some of their dignity. Calling them Akhraut is wrong.

Musharaf was their toe crusher and had to pay the price. One always pays the price.

So Musharraf was an oppressor to the people of the NWFP, 1/4th of Pakistan? Give me one reason why such a person could be considered an 'ok' leader? Sometimes you have to think beyond Karachi my friend.

Alhamdulilallah. If the story is true, then it is indeed a great blessing for the people of Pakistan. Former President, the Great Pervez Musharaf, the greatest Pakistani leader since Quaid-e-Azam once again leading Pakistan out of crisis and into a period of Unprecedented Economic Growth and Unprecdented amount of Foreign reserves, Inshallah. Ameen, Suma Ameen. :k:
