**LAHORE: Senior Special Prosecutor M Azhar Chaudhry said on Saturday that former president Pervez Musharraf will be arrested from the airport when he returns to Pakistan.
**Speaking to The Express Tribune, Chaudhry said that the former president had already been declared a proclaimed offender in the Benazir Bhutto Assassination Case and there was no need to get new warrants for his arrest.
Musharraf had earlier been declared a proclaimed offender by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi for his failure to cooperate with investigators in the case.
The senior prosecutor said that three important pieces of evidence had also been retrieved after the forensic report of Benazir’s BlackBerry had been completed. He said that the evidence had also been added to the charge sheet.
The former dictator, who now leads his own All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) political party and has spent the last three years in self-imposed exile, had earlier announced that he would return to the county in January.
Musharraf, who came to power in a military coup in 1999 and ruled Pakistan till 2008, is facing criminal cases in the Balochistan High Court for allegedly ordering the killing of Baloch tribal chieftain Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti in 2006.

Because Pakistan doesn't have an extradition treaty with England.
Whether the Army will allow a General, and former COAS to be arrested is another question.

There was a recent interview of zardari according to which e does not support the trial of musharraf as it will demoralize the army, let's see what happens though.

If a person is in Pakistani politics and has not been to prison then illiterate voters think that the person is close to establishment and not people’s man. Whoever created this perception, for most politicians of today, it is moment of pride to get arrested and spend some time in Prison. This distinction of being in prison is one credit that Jiyalas always refer when talking about Zardari.
Being past Army chief and President, who promoted and appointed most of Pakistani armed hierarchy, intelligence hierarchy, as well as most top bureaucracy (including all present top judges of Pakistan), he must be having enough strings to pull according to his wishes.
It seems Musharraf and establishment behind him is thinking ... that to make Musharraf a leader in the eyes of Pakistani Zombies, do Musharraf have to spend some time in Jail or not. If they would come to conclusion that to become more electable it is important for Musharraf to get jailed for few days and later come out from court as clean then it is possible Musharraf might go to Jail, else there is no way anyone could put him in jail.
[Obviously, if he would decide to get into prison then we can all assume what sort of prison that would be and what level of facility he would get :)].
