if he stays and coalition surrenders under Amreekan pressure, it will only show one thing, that as a nation how weak we are and how easily only ONE PERSON can govern the country even if he/she she has no or very little support within country. On the other hands it also proves that our political setup (from top to bottom) always looks White house for an approval.
Re: Musharraf Saved Again
Funny thing is that our political set up hasn't actually done anything yet. There are no massive protests on the streets. There are no long speeches or impeachment voting in the parliament. All we have are a bunch of politicians making a lot of noise in the news channels (they were doing it before as well). We are hearing reports of impending constitutional amendment that will curtail president's power (not kick him out).
Then suddenly the COAS goes and meet with the President and the rumor mill goes in over-drive. Right away people are expecting an immediate resignation as if its a done deal. Then nne (alleged) phone call from Bush, and all these rumors die down. Jeez Louise!
All it proves is that most here are a very excitable bunch of people. :)
Thand rakho logo! Lets see how things shape up in the days to come.
Re: Musharraf Saved Again
^as I said in some other thread, RAAG RANG chall rha hai aaj kal Pakistan kai POLITICAL channel par.
the budget is due, fuel prices are expected to go up by 23%. the power shortage is still there and no one (in government) is talking about plans to deal with it. Law & order is a mess and HERE we get excited with every "BREAKING NEWS" like "a plane is landed", "a call is recieved" "army house is packing".. I mean com'on ....who cares! the 1st periorty should be to EASE some burdon off of ORDINARY Pakistani. (yahan par sabh bharai pait wallai baithai hain, it's easy for us to talk about politics)
...our political setup (from top to bottom) always looks White house for an approval.
Time to elect or select Baitullah Mehsud. He is the only one left in the whole of Pakistan who would never ever bow to White House.
