What a MASTER stroke by President Musharraf in both putting extremist militants and militant lawyers on the run, and keeping BB on side, whilst neutralising the interfering judiciary and keeping western reaction largely muted. Now all the three main constitutional pillars - the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary can work independently and within their set limits, and for for the betterment of Pakistan as a whole.
Long live President & Commander in Chief General Pervez Musharraf. :k:

Yes brothers everything is falling into place. Lets all hope this dog of a dictator we are cursed with continues to over reach so he gets the bullet he so goodly deserves. I think his life span is now limitied to 1 yr + or - 4 months
It is shameful to see the state machinery behaving in totally uncivilised way in dealing with protests. Are these people who are protesting on streets "terrorists" as our beloved president tells us time and again that it was against the terrorists that he has imposed the emergency. The biggest terrorist in Pakistan is the president himself. he has ruined Pakistan in his bid to hold on to power.
Don't worry he will receive a call at 2am in the morning from a woman in US and get his ass whipped and next day he will become the biggest democrat the world has ever seen. Seen it before havent we? Unprincipled to the core. Keeping the kursi is his only principle.
I personally think the elections will be held. They will likely be on time but how they're put together is a thing to be skeptical about.
One of the reasons that General Musharraf mentioned in his address on Saturday to justify Emergency was to ensure that the democratic transition proceed to the third stage i.e. elections on schedule and him becoming a civilian President. Anyone who has a written transcript of the speech will be able to see that. I believe he will stick to his word, especially as it seems that Benazir Bhutto was very much part of the Emergency planning, and will be Islamabad soon, probably to meet Musharraf.

so all this is a milli-bhagat topi drama cooked up by musharraf-benazir-condi etc?
The way this power-crazy ghaasib is going, he will either be toppled by his own military or assassinated.
nothing keeps Pakistan Army more happy than the influx of US $$. The corror commanders would against Mush only if they sense a complete & longterm cut off of US aid.
