@Tariq_Akhtar

As predicted this is preparatory to executing the deal that enabled the court decision, on return of which musharaf will win any court challenge on re-election.But I am in agreement that Musharaf is a very sincere idealistic capable fun-loving man - probably the only one such in pakistan. Unfortunately the job he has undertaken is too big, nobody is there to help him and he is making many errors in judgement due to lack good counsel. Pakistan doesn’t deserve him but are very lucky to have him.He came very near resolving structural flaws of pakistan but either due to character flaws or other unknowns, has missed narrowly.But he is certainly a man that pakistan can be truly proud of. So little else is going right.In fact I will put his character above that of the CJ, the latter has a lot to prove now.

Very well balanced post. :k:

Chief Justice also today dismissed a contempt petition against Punjab CM Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Railways Minister Shaikh Rashid Ahmad, in another indication that he will not disturb the existing power structure.
