thanks for the link proud!
i watched a repeat on PTV today, again :D
and got the F-16 part that i had missed! there are no words known to man to describe the feeling when you hear a Pakistani fighter plane, an F16 flying by above your head t just a few hundred feet! man! the thunder, gives you such a blood rush!
long live our armed forces!
the F16 during these maneouvres is on after bruner all the time. the pilot was Wg Cmdr Haseeb Paracha, OC No 11 Sqn. must be an awsome guy.
and proud,
yes, he's always cool abt it all. a true soldier who's self admitingly faced death many times. i'm sure he's not afraid and is very brave. May Allah bless our leader.
i would love to watch Mush double march like the SSG commandos with an MP5 and shout "Allah Hu"!
what if next year he says if PAF chief gets to fly the F16, i'll parachute in! :D
Talwar,
he was not in uniform so while the others just watched and acknowledged with a head bow etc each time, he returned salute with the informal slanted hand on forhead; not the army style salute. for every regiment/ unit passing by he did the same and for the SSG at first did the same too and then lifted his right fist and shook it to show appreciation and encourage the commandos who are the elite force. He did that probably because he belongs to the SSG too and the SSG is a symbol of the best of the best who take charge of doing what even most of the best cant.
it was quite a sight. very amusing and encouraging.
Haris the best thing was watching major Mohammad Azhar. What a person to lead the parade. I have seen many majors lead the parade in Abbottabad at the passing out parade, but this guy was just awesome.
He is Maulana Fazlur Rehman of JuI. He is one of the more prominent Deobandi ulema in Pakistan. He established a successful business with trucking companies trading thru Afghanistan and made a killing during the rule of his students, the Taliban. Due to his trucks he got the nickname Maulana Diesel.
Hmmmmm…a military parade, nice marches, good ‘choreography’, just like the vast majority of forces in the world. Considering they take half the national budget, I would harldy expect any less.
How about these generals stop stealing so many Pak billions, stop all land grabbing, stop lording over citizens of Pakistan like untouchable gods, and perhaps actually win a war?!
Ayaz Amir has always had a weightless sore behind; i think he was kicked out from the army and wasnt a voluntary release.
Real Deal,
talk of half the budget when India flexes its muscles. and winning a war...well read some accounts...
Proud,
Yeah! absolutely, the major was amazing!!! i think he was from the AK regt. was highly decorated with all the courses; the para wings, the mountaineers badge, the gliders and the divers too i think. very impressive. and what aroar he had.
with officers like that leading, we sure can be sure of our safety anyday!
