whats the problem with her
she has been the former premier of Pakistan
doesn’t she understand that these type statements can do nothing but cause trouble for Pakistan’s image
and she has a very bad record of such statements since her self imposed exile … what does she want ???
London, Jul 03 - Mocking the wild-goose chase for Osama bin Laden, the former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto today suggested that the best place to look for him was in the “basement of the presidency of Pakistan”.
In potentially explosive remarks, delivered with a deadpan face but dressed up as a joke, Ms. Bhutto told Sky TV that the word on the grapevine was that the `Generals’ knew where the elusive Al-Qaeda mastermind was.
Asked whether she really believed that the Pakistan Government was not telling the truth about his whereabouts, she said: "The joke is that he is in the basement of the presidency of Pakistan.‘’
Ms. Bhutto said there was a "strong perception that the ‘Generals’ were ‘using’ him for their own ends. She said she had no first-hand knowledge but “this is the perception”.
In an interview, marked by a bitter attack on the Gen. Musharraf and his Government, Ms. Bhutto questioned Islamabad’s commitment to fight terrorism, claiming that there was no Al-Qaeda in Pakistan when she was in power. Portraying herself as a victim of fundamentalist groups, she said her troubles started after she ordered a crackdown on madrassas. Dismissing allegations of corruption against her, she said Gen. Musharraf had hailed the nuclear scientist Abdul Qadir as his ‘hero’ despite allegations that he had siphoned off “millions of dollars”.Ms. Bhutto welcomed the India-Pakistan peace process and called for more confidence-building measures on the nuclear issue.
She is a drama-queen. She wants her 15 minutes of fame, cos obviously it had been a while she caused any stir. She is better off living in UK with the money that she stole from our homeland. Pathetic lil biyaatch she is.
^ relax Jaggay, I havent lost my mind and I for one don't think that. Well, BB is making baseless accusations and everyone knows about her histrionics and Pakistani establishment would care less. :p
As far as other people thinking on the same lines are concerned, well maybe not now, not anymore. But many people were of the view that we cannot rule out the possibility of Osama's presence in Pakistan. I don't know of the US neo-cons, however most of the analysts and researchers at the thinktanks and academicians that I was intouch with voiced their concerns.
Obviously, Operation Wana allayed their fears. But those who thought on these terms thought that Mussharaf was buying time and utilizing delaying tactics while providing safe haven to the remanants of Taliban.
Honestly... I think for she's probably going through menopause... and is therefore all hormonal and saying stupid things.... actually there isnt a time I remember much sense coming from her mouth.. but then I was quite young when she was Prime Minister and frankly didn't give a damn.
She talks about the country so much... but comfortably sits her @** in London.. if she so patriotic... she should fly to Pakistan and fight like someone who really has passion for the country and a belief that the people are supporting her.
Somebody please tell me where she has come up with the deluded belief that the whole of Pakistan is supporting her and waiting for her return?

she is called Pinky by her father as well. thats her nick name.
i think we all should grow up and not discuss this looser anymore. a 7 year old would have put Pakistan interest first rather then to get 5 min fame.
she has nothing to loose, she knows that so make such statements to cause problem for Mush and Pakistan(she really cares for this country , she can only stay there if she is in power and have hands on to its resources)
