IHC given verdict of long awaited case. In recent times there is rift going on between court and army.
I do feel in near futrue , some judges will see their near and dear ones being kidnapped or killed during robberies or for ransom....

wow.. really wow! how did that happen? I’m shocked. I’m sure the decision will be upheld. But how did IHC judges dare this much?
As expected, ISPR has already jumped in.
It wasn’t the IHC. it was a special court.
IK’s govt did it best to abort the judgement but couldn’t prevail.
First they fired the prosecutors and didn’t appoint new prosecutors until forced by the court. The new prosecutors then tried various delaying tactics like petitioning to include mode defendants in the trial.
IHC had ordered the special court to stay the verdict. There was a petition in LHC for a stay as well. But the special court had the go-ahead from the SC.
Even if the verdict is now overturned or invalidated, a precedent has been set.

Perhaps never , but it is significant
overall nothing will happen. Decision will be overturned soon. But those who dared men in uniform will have to pay a lot of price. There’ll be some unrest though

Liberals around the world are traditionally against the death penalty so it’s hilarious they’d claim this is “democratic”
From what I see the bigger underlying issue is that since army has come out big time out in the open in its opposition to the verdict it leads to a direct confrontation between the military institution and a part of judiciary. Its never good for any kinda setup whether democratic or autocratic. As said before, not that there will be any action on this decision but the confrontation itself is a damage to the country
The detailed judgement is out now. Paragraph 66 is over the top (“Musharraaf’s corpse to be dragged to D-chowk”) . Rest of the judgement is very sound. Unfortunately, para 66 will overshadow everything.

The verdict is not only despicable but without a reason of a doubt in-humane. And Isha’Allah..nothing will happen to Musharraf. Supreme Court will eventually over-rule this verdict by so called “judge”. This judge should immediately be sacked..
Musharraf is and always be our National Hero. He fought wars for our country and ruled Iron Fist against Judicial and Political Mafia like Nawaz and Zardari. The only mistake which he admits that he had made..was give these mafias..NRO.
Musharraf should have had hanged Zardari and Nawaz..for their crimes against people of Pakistan.

It’s amazing to see people happy with this ridiculous decision.
Musharraf can be “anything” but not a traitor.
Like may rulers in Pakistan he had good and bad.
Some may say more good than bad.
Others may say more bad than good.
Fine.
But still, not a “traitor”.
The term traitor is part of constitution , for a person who dismisses it.
Hence he called. In no means he went on to become an indian spy or some thing else , as recently a Brigadier was given death penalty.
VEry sad , in his time he made another great of PAkistan Abdul qadeer khan as gaddar-e- watan. Now Karma came to haunt him…
