Re: Musharraf get pat on the back
Sure, but the day he goes, shall all the misery (most of which unfolded post 9/11 world over by no direct fault of Musharraf) cease...? By what magical powers possessed by which political figure...?
Re: Musharraf get pat on the back
If Musharraf stays, r there any chances the miseries will end? The way I see it, the security situation is getting only worse.
Re: Musharraf get pat on the back
I'm not sure if Americans realize this, but their pat on the back is the last thing Mushrraf needs. They should know that now Osma is more popular than their tin pot buddy in Pakistan.

You still don't realize stay of Musharraf is not going to eliminate militants, he is using militants for his stay in power longer. His government knew all about Lal Masjid but they waited till the situation turned worse and chose a particular time to act when supreme court was busy hearing "special" case. There will be no majic bullet to get rid of militancy, no power/nuke/missile will get rid of that. It is going to be a long road of fight but not with ammunition. Army's/para-military's own men are involved alliances with Taliban which explains disappearing/kidnapping of hundreds of govt's armed men. How the hell will Musharraf fight a war with insiders helping opponents?
It is just a game where country is being raped/mauled.
Re: Musharraf get pat on the back
And the judiciary is not any better either. Everybody has already forgotten that it was iftikhar's nepotism (his son) that started all that.

Really? I didn't know CJ nepotism had anything to do with our tribal areas revolting against idiotic governmental policies.

wrong thread may be?

What's idiotic about a government policy that prohibits tribes from keeping terrorists as guests to attack another country?
Re: Musharraf get pat on the back
why were the guests allowed there in the first place?
what r some features of the policy being pursued by the government to ensure that in future such guests r not welcomes there?
what concrete steps is the govt. taking to prevent people from becoming terrorists instead of killing those that have crossed the line?

The "guests" fell down from the sky and landed in tribal areas or did they?
