so, he has been granted bail as expected…at least i always expected because of the system. his lawyer says he is a “FREE” man, free to travel within or outside Pakistan. i think his statement is an exaggeration…he’ll likely be in house arrest.
now, he has been granted bail in all THREE cases against him:

He has been re-arrested in murder cases of Ghazi Abdur Rasheed and his mother.
While Sufi Mohammed is let off the hook for challenging state's writ, Musharraf is held for doing his duty to enforce writ of the state. So much for justice!
**Musharraf rearrested over Lal Masjid operation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was rearrested in Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) killing case hours after submitting surety bonds in the Supreme Court on Thursday.
The rearrest came after he had been granted bail in three other cases and his lawyer said on Wednesday he was cleared to leave the country.
“We have put General Musharraf under house arrest in a case involving a military operation on an Islamabad mosque,” Muhammad Rizwan, a senior official of the Islamabad police told reporters.
“We will present him before a court on Friday,” Rizwan added, after visiting Musharraf’s plush villa at the edge of Islamabad, which has been declared a sub jail.
A complaint against Musharraf in the Lal Masjid case was registered last month on the orders of a judge.
A spokesman of Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) party confirmed the arrest saying they will now apply for bail in the latest case.
Police had earlier refused to register a murder case against Musharraf stating that Musharraf was not directly and personally involved in the incident. But it finally had to register the case on the insistence of the judge that a case be filed against Musharraf.
It’s basically a case against the state for moving to establish its writ which was openly challenged barely a few kilometer of the heart of the state machinery.
I have said it many times before, no difference between Bugti and Lal Masjid jokers imo. Both were challenging the writ of the state; damaging state property, threatening people etc. State had no choice but to take action against them
Meanwhile, Haroon Rasheed Ghazi, a son of the slain Lal Masjid cleric Maulana Abdul Rashid Ghazi, filed a writ petition in the Islamabad High Court pleading that Musharraf’s name be added to the ECL.
The petitioner claimed that it was possible that if the former military ruler left Pakistan, he may not return again. Ghazi further claimed that the Aabpara police station in Islamabad was investigating Musharraf for ordering the Lal Masjid operation in 2007, and therefore he should be barred from leaving the country.
How twisted and incompetent is Pakistan's justice system? Why are they so hellbent on providing so called justice to bunch of closet terrorists?
It infuriates me how Lal Masjid is perhaps the the only 'legit' case against Musharraf, which cannot even be totally considered his mistake or crime. At best, you can only criticise him for not planning the operation properly and effectively dealing with the aftermath and that's it.
Musharraff deserves to be charged and hanged fro bringing the NRO and abusing the constitution.
NO. Had they screwed by Mush, either NS would have been hanged or still lingering on in jails for next fifteen years. But Mush allowed him and his family peaceful exit to SA with 75 suitcases full of dollars and pounds.
IK would have done the same thing what NS is doing for Mush. IK is even weaker personality than NS. Mush is an ex-army chief, kisi mai ke laal main taaqat nahin hay ke us ka koi baal bhi bheega kar sakay kyon ke, these are the people known as elite, untouchables, holy cows of Pakistan. Even CJ's sou mota is like toilet paper for them. Musharraf has been given a clean chit in three cases, lal masjid one is the weakest of the link. He will be out soon and then he can take part in politics freely.
