We are doing far more than any other country in taking on terrorists, and we have lost more soldiers than anyone else, so the American’s should just shut up!

Musharraf chides Americans
President Pervez Musharraf said yesterday that discussion of U.S. military strikes against al-Qaida in Pakistan only hurts the fight against terrorism. Meanwhile, 10 people were killed as his troops bombarded militant hideouts in their strongest response yet to a month of anti-government attacks. The assault by artillery and helicopter gunships “knocked out” two compounds in Daygan village in the tribal belt near the border with Afghanistan. They were being used as staging posts for attacks on security forces, said Maj. Gen. Waheed Arshad, the army’s top spokesman. Ten militants were killed and at least seven were wounded in the operation in the North Waziristan region, he said. Musharraf, a key ally in Washington’s war against terrorism, told visiting Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., that comments by senior U.S. officials and presidential hopefuls about the possibility of unilateral U.S. strikes within the country were not helpful. “He emphasized that only Pakistan’s security forces, which were fully capable of dealing with any situation, would take counterterrorism action inside Pakistani territory,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “The president pointed out that certain recent U.S. statements were counterproductive to the close cooperation and coordination between the two countries in combating the threat of terrorism,” the ministry said.
On Monday, President Bush said that America and Pakistan, if armed with good intelligence, could track and kill al-Qaida leaders in Pakistan. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., a presidential candidate, has said that he would use military force in Pakistan if necessary to root out terrorists, prompting angry responses from Pakistani officials. Musharraf also described a new law tying U.S. aid to Pakistan to progress in combating militants as an “irritant in the bilateral relationship,” the statement said. His comments came two days before he is due to hold talks with Afghan President Hamid Karzai about border security.

Are the American’s about to attack Pakistan for Musharraf to make such statements against them?

‘American threats counter-productive’
President Gen Pervez Musharraf said on Tuesday recent suggestions from the United States that it might launch unilateral strikes against Al Qaeda in Pakistan were “counterproductive” to the fight against terrorism, the government said. Gen Musharraf’s comments were the highest-level rejection by Pakistan of comments by senior US officials and presidential candidates about the possibility of US strikes within the country, a possibility that Pakistan views as challenging its sovereignty. Gen Musharraf told visiting US Senator Richard J Durbin in a meeting in Karachi on Tuesday that Pakistan remained resolved to fighting terrorism, as it was in the national interest, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. “He emphasised that only Pakistan’s security forces, which were fully capable of dealing with any situation, would take counter-terrorism action inside Pakistani territory,” the statement said, citing the president. “In this regard, the president pointed out that certain recent US statements were counterproductive to the close cooperation and coordination between the two countries in combating the threat of terrorism,” it said. Gen Musharraf also expressed disappointment that the recent passage of a law that ties US aid to Pakistan to achievements the country is making in fighting extremists. He “said such legislation constituted (an) irritant in the bilateral relationship” between the United States and Pakistan, the statement said.

What leg does he have to stand on when he knows terrorists have a safe haven in Pakistan? No country in the world will support any other country which has a terrorist haven, not even China.

Of course none is going to support us when sitting ministers and MPs are supporting suicide bombings. Jihadis were created by army, isi and govt. and we cant blame anyone else but ourselves.
