If the mullahs will be angry, then that’s more incentive for the BB-Musharraf deal. :k:

Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
Yeah, afer over fifty years of kissing up to the religous groups, its nice to hear that there may finally be a realization that these religous beards, and their retrogressive views arent worth it...
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
so the deal will "end terrorism" in the "long term"? any clue how long? my bet is before the Sun turns Supernova
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
as long as u have MMA around and its hidden support for the militants we will not see end of terrorism in pakistan
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
This is not going to be a liberal versus extremist election.
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
The Musharraf-BB deal will bring together PML Q and its' allies (like MQM) PPP-P, and possibly JUI-F. That would command the electoral votes of over 75% of the people, and be a pretty united front in taking on the terrorist menace.
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan’s Religious Groups
How did u reach that figure of 75%? I am intrigued. ![]()
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
err PML-Q is working behind the scenes to put pressure on musharraf as well so that with a musharraf-PPP deal they are not left behind.
They are, but I am sure that the "Kings party" will go along in the end with a deal with the "Queen's party". Or at least the vast bulk of them will.

100 % agreed, enough is enough now
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
18 months ago I'd have said why musharaf wants to tarnish his record by associating with bb. After his shameful performance since then, I'd wonder why bb would mke the deal. That one is easier perhaps to drop corruption charges - but today's papers have revealed why. Apparently condi bush have been telling mush to 'share power' with english speaking bb.That being settled, if the mullas don't like it, it's probably the rt thing to do. Let's wait see what ahadith edict they quote to show this is devils deal
Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
Musharraf needs a publicly-accepted face to push through his agenda and thinks BB can do the job. Past military regimes used the tried-and-tested right wing clerics as wheels to run their agenda vehicles and keep the public silent. Apparently, the public outcry is making Musharraf uncomfortable. If BB can make an entry back to Pakistani political scene, why big tind be left behind?

Re: Musharraf-Bhutto Accord May Provoke Pakistan's Religious Groups
^ what makes you think Ejaz is a hypo- he's trying to create his political base and I see nothing wrong in that.
